If Melo scored 60 points on 50 shots. Regardless of whether we won or lost there would be rioting in the UK streets with calls for a digital lynching for not playing that "right way".
That being said, I truly loved watching the Mamba's swan song finale. Truly epic and right up there with MJ for a mic drop final moment.

yes. If melo did that it would make me puke.

Kobe did have 4 assists, though.

Did not see the game...Should I assume that Utah, which had just been knocked out of the playoffs, game him the All-Star game treatment on the defensive end?

Exact opposite - they went at him hard on both ends, doubled. There were some bad shots he forced up, but at the end, he was young Kobe and highly efficient- something Melo never has done at the end of games.

If Melo won 5 chips with this franchise he could do what ever he pleases him. Kobe has that equity.

So no, UK heads would not explode. Even chuckbuck would have a tear in his eye saying good bye to "five ring Melo".
If Melo wants to retire a knick after a 10 year career with bare fingers and put up 50 shots, it would be just another game!!!!
Bottom line is Lakers won the game, Kobe dropped 60, and he has a fist full of bling.

It's funny how blinders work, the horse only see's what's in front of it, without having the opportunity to see & explore the rest of the world around it.

I wouldn't care if he took 50 shots as long as it was his last game.

Paging StarksEwing of the Melohate Police monitoring azzociation...

Imagine if Melo had set the franchise scoring record, or led the team in assists and rebounds, or was playing better D, or wasn't trying to run the latest NYC phenom out of town, or...

Doesn't matter, trade his azz...

Yes, get with the program jrodmc. The hypothetical is if it was Melo's last game and he chucked up 50 shots to get to 60 points.

How can you trade someone that's retiring?

The untrained mind reels in disbelief at the possibility of your next preposterously delightful impossible insight. My hats of to you good sir. Bravo. Bravo!
