woj and berger are the only two guys in the media i trust. glad to hear this.
My view is that I would prefer Blatt with Rambis as an assistant or just Blatt over Rambis. That doesn't mean Rambis would be the end of the world. I just think Blatt is a better coach and has a chance to have more of an impact on the team. I felt if Phil was dead set on Rambis he would've named him already. We'll see what Phil decides.
Blatt is a good guy and a good coach if allowed to do his thing. Hasn't done it on the nba level even though his record suggests so.
"To be young, gifted and Blatt.......Its where its at!"

I agree.
I think Phil understands what Rambis brings to the table. Great assistant, maybe not so good at the top spot. I think he's ready to roll with Rambis though. He's looking for a voice that can motivate... edit:without an agenda
Let's wait to see if this is just for appearances or if Phil is actually going to do the right thing.

I think Blatt was in a tough spot in Cleveland. This might be a better situation for him. He's proven to be a flexible man. This roster would have more coachable young players than he had in Cleveland. Maybe that makes a difference.

Blatt as HC with Rambis as Associate HC makes so much sense. Why bring in Rambis as a HC when he is more than willing to come back as an assistant? Blatt doesn't have a coaching staff here. Lue was his Associate HC. I'm sure he is more than welcomed to Rambis in that role and Rambis is more than willing to accept it. It makes too much sense.
Lets hope this is not a smoke screen. I have a feeling Phil already told Rambis he's the head coach. Phil knows how to use the media to his advantage.

I thought Rambis was in the rags as not interested in the "interim HC" label...? That means he would accept the Herb Williams treatment?
I love this quote from the Woj article. Woj subtlety giving his stance on Blatt or Rambis.
After reaching the NBA Finals in his first NBA season and starting 2015-16 with a 30-11 record, Blatt was fired as Cleveland Cavaliers coach in January. He was 83-40 in his Cavaliers tenure. Blatt joined the NBA after an illustrious two decades of pronounced success in the Euroleague and with FIBA basketball as the Russian national coach.Rambis has a career record of 65-164, including a 9-19 mark as the Knicks’ interim coach following the firing of Derek Fisher this season.

Yes, He just got stabbed in the back by a guy the F.O. hired for him and you both think he is okay going through that again with Rambis who is besties with Phil. I wonder who Phil would trust on decisions and if Blatt tried to incorporate implements to the triangle?

still could be a smoke screen, but i'll wait to pass judgement

I have to tell you, I thought your bolded was just fair reporting.
Unlike Daily News which still pushes out articles that try to fit their own agenda:
David Blatt met with the Knicks on Monday to discuss the head coaching position, although it may have been nothing more than a smokescreen, the Daily News confirmed.

Blatt coached LeBron, Kyrie and Love who did Rambis coach? Love who was a rookie and pretty much nothing else.

Agreed. I am all for Blatt and i think he is a better coach, but comparing his record to Rambis is a bad analysis if we are comparing their coaching abilities.

Yeah i agree with this, if i had to chose from Blatt or Rambis i'm going to chose Blatt but i'm not as against Rambis as most others, i don't love him for the job and there's plenty of guys i'd rather have than him but if we get a legit guard for this team i think he can win games.

B.Windhorst thinks Phil meeting with Blatt is only for show.
