- A Knicks coach (for physical conditioning) will join him in Latvia soon and help him with the summer workouts

I am tending to side with this assessment. All the successful Phil disciples are applying the principles of the triangle to essentially seven seconds or less. I am more than okay with a similar approach. I always thought the flaw to Pringles' approach was the general lack of structure... all the fringe players would just drift to a spot where they could chuck. I hate our pace but I love that the guys know what to do in certain situations.
In short, I do think Phil needs to launch The Triangle Version Two Point Zero. Windows has come a long way from 3.1...
Good decision for us- he'll have time to play for his nation in the future.
Now he has to find a big man coach not currently with the Knicks organization.
Hakeem, McHale, Walton, Jabbar...he needs to work with a big man known for his interior game.
Don't care if he's shooting 500 3s each day-he can always do that on his own, but he needs to add about 3-5 go to post-up moves to his game for next year.
Guy is a Unicorn for a reason. A truly mythical creature, that at age 20 knows when to say the right things and when to do the right things.
Our true franchise cornerstone we haven't come close to sniffing since #33 was traded away all those years ago...
I was thinking this would say a ton about him. Where his dedication and goals are. Rambis said he thought KP has a level in him to be one of the greats, not just very good, so this is what it's about. Making sacrifices, even unpopular in your country, to work on your game, your phsical conditioning, your weaknesses all of that. Great stuff from him. Wouldn't have been at all upset at him if he played, but this shows his commitment to the Knicks and to become a better basketball player, above all else. I get the sense this guy eats and breathes the game.

KP wants to be great! That's where it starts. When a talented players doesn't just want to be good but wants to be great.

not everyone, just some. Some of the others are not completely one sided and eyes shut across the board.
I do think that there are many knick fans who are understandably desperate to have and believe in a savior.

Of course he can learn just like any other rookie GM/President learns ... problem is that he does not think of himself as a rookie or that he has done a bad job. He thinks "do you have phucking 11 rings putz?"
Is he willing to learn / adapt? If he would be then great! We have a genius basketball mind who realizes that it is not 20 years ago.
