They are shooting 43% of their shots from 3 this playoffs and hitting at 46%. That is super super efficient. They actually look like a team right now that can beat GS or SA.
Lue has done a really good job with them or Lebron is just a damn good coach and maybe a much better GM than we thought.
Kevin Love is really spreading the floor well for them and if they win this year, big if ... then the Love trade for wiggins looks much better. Wiggins would not really be helping (enough) here.
Love getting really nice props on TNT. Seems like they like how Lue is using him now as opposed to the way Blatt had him just as a shooter without using him in the post if he was either off or if they put a small guy on him.
CAVS are playing at a high level right now. It's gonna be interesting to watch the ECF's and Finals to see how they do this year. Of course another former Knick, Frye, is also helping them.
Cavs are a good team. I just think the Hawks are a good regular season team. A lot of the good play by the Cavs was simply the result of the Hawks being a vastly inferior opponent.

Is it me or does the East suck right now? Miami without Bosh, Whiteside is a completely different team.
Boston, Toronto, Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit, Indiana are nice but nothing to write home about; they would never sniff a playoffs matchup against a healthy LAC, SAS, OKC, GSW.
Cavs are peerless in the East really.
I'd agree with that. Pretty hard to get excited about the East, as it's really a contest to see who gets to lose to Cleveland in the final.

I agree. But don't forget raptors. They can play well if Lowry and demar are on their game
Unfortunately w/o Jonas they too are a different team

They are playing very well right now but lets not forget that the Pistons and Hawks aren't all that great of teams and i could pick 4/5 western teams that could easily beat both the Pistons and Hawks. I'm not gonna take everything away from Clev because they're clearly playing together right now and i think they'll be giving the GSW's a good run in the championship 7 game series. It should be a fun series to watch as long as both Love and Kyrie can stay healthy.

If Mimai is without Whiteside or Toronto is without Valecunias in the ECF it will be a cake walk for Clev and that could be the case with both big men.
No doubt Cav's are the most talented in the east. Question is can they get to the finals healthy?
Lets not forget, Lebron carried them to a 2-1 lead against the GSW having lost the first game in Overtime. A game they had in their pocket.
Cav's go in finals healthy against whom ever that might be a bit banged up from the west, it could be Cav's time!
Deal with JR and Shump with rings as role players. Reality was they were prime time players here.
does anyone else get the sense that Cavs were using Love down low with an eye towards GS? Playing him out at the 3 line seems more net benefit to GS as they can guard that easier
i'm wondering if they're thinking put Love down low to either (1) force Bogut more into their game plan or (2) occupy Green with Love leaving who (Barnes?) to guard James
either way i think it's a smart adjustment for the Cavs

Before the playoffs. Cavs were said to have like an 80% chance to reach the finals by odds makers. While GSW and Spurs had 60 or less. Due to the level of comp.
Cavs have 2 elite penetrators with Lebron and Irving who can also shoot. And they have quality shooters around them. They don't hit the 3s at the rate they do if no for the fear of the most physically imposing penetrator in the game. To go with one of the leagues best ball handlers.

I don't watch enough Toronto games but these guys seem to show up like 1 in 4 games? Or just the regular season? LOL
I could be wrong but didn't the Knicks even have a winning record against Detroit/Atlanta. It was either a series split or we won 3-1. Neither team is all that good. Now if they beat Miami or Toronto with ease, that's impressive.

I had the Cavs and GSW as 100% to make the finals before the season even started.

JR and Shump aren't prime time players they play with prime time players. Coat tailing their way. When adversity comes their way the fold like a cheap tent.

They are so much better when you have stars to carry the load and they can just fill in playing their roles. If they were being depended on as in NY then people would once again see they aren't up to the task.

agreed; they need some form of horse-whisperer
its not just that the cavs are playing great but how spread they are playing and the number of threes they are taking a game is insane. They are making even GS look old school.

Biyombo is beasting tonight. Ujiri nailed it with his additions last summer.
