Wonder how the Triangle mixes with all of this.

maybe Phil just felt that Hornacek was the most coachable candidate and smart as hell with a modern twist?

Never heard of a coach being coachable? Ive heard of players being coachable but never a coach.

You don't think that Phil was look for a coach that he can coach?

Happy Not-Rambis Day

So what's the over/under to how many Horny Knicks article titles that will be out over the next few days?

Yea seriously. This is about as left field as it gets. Stunning! Would love to hear the reasoning behind it. I mean this is a guy albeit a great player and great mind, who played under One of Phil's biggest nemesis in Sloan. Nothing triangular about the pick and roll system they ran in Utah. Shocker considering Thibs, Vogel & Blatt were out there. Guys with actual ties to the triangle or this organization.

Again I'd love to hear the reasoning behind this move. I can't seem to fathom how this makes any sense but I will pray there is a legitimate reason and plan behind Phil's thinking and not just Phil sabotaging the team because he didn't appreciate being dictated to by Melo and/or Dolan. I will pray and hope for the best

but they are also most likely to clash with phil.

Considering Hornacek Phx offense looked nothing like the triangle I would think he would clash more.

Vogel and Blatt are both defensive guys so you would think they would be more acceptable to running the triangle. Maybe the triangle is dead?

I was hoping Rambis would get he gig on the remote chance Melo and would lose it eventually and want out

I immediately thought of Rambis and his twitter likes

What I remember first and foremost about JH is that he was a hard nose defensive minded player and hopefully he'll bring that dogged mentality to the team. Whether Wroten Grant or whoever is gonna handle, they'll need to play 2 way ball or sit. Solid NBA Choice and Lopez should be pleased.

I bet a lot of head coaching jobs end with a string of losses!

F.Asshola just put out a tweet saying that no deal is done and they're still working on details.

I hope Horny doesn't end up like Layden v2.0
crzymdups @ 5/18/2016 8:31 PM
Interesting. I would've preferred Blatt or Vogel. But Hornacek seems good. Though what made him good was using the two point guard pace and space attack. Very curious. Will be very interested to see what Phil says about this if true. Beck is saying on Twitter that negotiations are early but mutual interest. Have to wonder if we'll be playing the Triangle next year. Which makes me wonder if Phil lost a power struggle. Other people saying this on Twitter too.
teeebrowne @ 5/18/2016 8:31 PM
I am so happy about this hire. Let's just hope he can also develop KP into the player he's capable of being.

Also, it will be interesting to see if he has the autonomy to bring in all his own guys, or if Phil will force him to keep Rambis.

how about the year that his team was the most improved in the league and he almost won COY?

You try to coach M. Morris...

after trading his brother when he took less money for them to stay together.

Awesome. Wow. Just checked into to see if anything was happening. Did not expect this.
