That was very interesting mreinman. Thanks for posting that. I really didn't realize just how bad the Suns had been handling things. Sure I remember a lot of their moves but seeing it all in succession makes it clear just how dysfunctional they've been. Aside from drafting Devin Booker there haven't been a lot of really good moves. They did Jeff a favor by firing him.

The Stretch 4/5 is a big deal. MDA wasn't wrong. Teams realize now how big of a deal it is to have that type of player. KP can have that kind of impact but with even more flexibility to play inside and out.

KP is much more but a guy like Love was never appreciated, especially on this board but look what he is doing for cleveland and lue's super modern offense.

You know what's funny is Lue admitted that they are now using the stuff Blatt tried to implement. Seems that Lebron is more willing to do it now coming from Lue.

Rumor has it that Lue early on told Lebron to "shut the fuk up" in the huddle and that earned the respect of everyone.
I do think that Lue is doing other things that blatt was not doing. He is using Love much better/smarter and is also less ISO and more spread.

That's my point. Blatt wasn't necessarily the reason for that ISO stuff. He's never been that kind of guy. Lue went into great detail explaining how much of Blatt's stuff they're running and to give him credit. I read it but I don't have the link just now. The Kevin Love stuff might be all Lue but Lue himself said that he implemented the Blatt stuff. I read that also Blatt missed Kyrie for a significant amount of games. It's possible that Lue just made the right minor adjustments but also getting more buy in from Lebron and the players had a lot to do with it.

Good piece that explains how everything worked and went down in Phoenix. My only worry is how our defense will be under Hornacek and hearing that Rambis will stay on to maybe be that defensive guy.

IMO Rambis is a good defensive coach. The upgrading of the roster should help cuz a lot of the poor D was starting Jose and AA, which I don't expect to see next year.

If we had decent defensive guards than our defense would be excellent. I don't think you can coach Jose alike to be good defenders.
our frontline will be solid and I really home we can somehow keep lance thomas. For some reason he is off our radar. He is super important.

I don't expect to be dealing with old and slow guards again next season. That ship has sailed IMO. NO WAY Jeff would be OK with Jose and AA starting for him.

if I were to guess, the knicks are only in play for guards. No front court.
