Knicks · OKC time to break that duo up. (page 1)
Knicks expected to pursue Kevin Durant; does Kristaps Porzingis give them a chance?
Kd needs to bring his ass to the knicks, he will never win a ring playing with westbrook, westbrook will never win a championship until he's a role player like GP (gary payton) was in Miami.
I though westbrook was finally coming around, but he's a STAT grabbing junkie, he goes out and looks for triple double, tries to do everything when the game is online, foolish turnover plagued this team in the 4th quarter all season long, and he was the main culprit.
Kp, melo, and KD, and some scrappy sound role players.. I like

you don't really think that he has a better chance to win a ring with the knicks, right? His best chance is to add a couple of small pieces to OKC and get Westbrook and top Sports Shrink to follow him around. You can't get closer than they got ... they blew it but they had it in the bag.

He will have an easier road to the finals in the East. But even then there better situations he could choose.

The Knicks would have 3 likely All Stars in KD, Melo and KP which is pretty much a potential elite Trio. Role players suddenly become much more effective in filling in between the stars. Don't get into the negative hype that the Knicks are so devoid of talent that they couldn't put the needed support around 3 All Star level players. The hardest part is getting 3 All Star Level players.
Even if we got Durant, which would be great, we're still gonna need some heart, grit and aptitude in the backcourt.

They have Kanter and Ibaka and Adams. Can't see them adding another big at max money.

I don't really see that being as much of a problem as it may look like right now. When you have the core big 3 it won't be as hard to get a quality PG to come on board. Finding the needed role players is much easier once you have the key spots filled.
IMO KD needs to get away from Westbrook. He's not the guy that will get him over the top. As great of an individual talent as Westbrook is. He's just not the partner KD needs to win a title.

What part do I need to re-read? I think a .700 team in a harder conference has an easier road to building a team that wins its conference than a .400 team in an easier conference does.

its possible he is referring to a team in the east that is not ny, maybe the wizards for example?

Oh OK. I thought he was referring to us.

I said the road to the finals would be easier in the East. But even with that KD would have better situations to choose(better situations then the Knicks). At no point was I saying that the Knicks would have an easier time going to the finals then OKC.
Boston has 53mil in cap space and won 48 games last yr. They could sign Durant and Hortford(or combination of players like Gasol, Bazemore etc) to pair with the #3 pick(Hield) and #10 pick. With that there only comp in the east would be the Cavs.
Washington has 45mil in cap space. They could be another team that could make the jump to ECF with Durant added. And depending on the devlopment of Porter and Oubre to go along with the chemistry of Morris and Gortat could matchup pretty well with the Cavs.

Yeah, my bad. I misunderstood.

People don't understand Griffin's game he has everything that a sf does in his game.
