Phil's got three years left, too. Maybe the amount of years was the hold up. Dolan can't be thrilled to be on the hook for three more years of Fisher, too.

But, yes, very interested in the press conference.

I am pleased with this move overall.

Awesome. I wonder why it isn't on the home page yet. Great news. His deal lasts as long as Phil's.
EnySpree @ 6/1/2016 5:17 PM
Seems like Phil does have an end game because everyone is done at the same time. I really feel like hes sticking to a plan to win big during the course of his contract.

Now it should get interesting with the coaching staff and the fate of Rambis.

Only if you are more concerned with drama than basketball.

It feels good to me. I feel like a new era is about to begin for NYK basketball. So much is about to go down this summer. I can't wait for the press conference to get a better idea of how this is all going to worked out. JH is now going to be involved in the Summer League, all the upcoming workouts and FA meetings. Should be freaking awesome.

I agree. I am anxious to see who is on his staff and who is chosen to coach the summer league. With Tony cleared to play it will be must see tv.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this move. Here we all were thinking we're getting Rambis back, a self proclaimed triangle perfectionist/PJ toadie (with zero track record of being successful), and we get the opposite -- a fresh young coach who seemingly wants to play uptempo, values good PG play/guard play... It's a good move for us moving forward imo. Real interested to hear Jeff's take on this team's future, what style he plans to play, etc. I'm actually proud of Phil for stepping outside his own box with this move. Phil's gotta concentrate on letting Jeff coach and adding players now--and hopefully all different types of players are considered, not just "triangle players," but players Jeff likes and feels fit the plan too. I wonder what the real issues were that were holding this deal up -- was it really years/money or could it have been style of play? I know some of you don't feel this way and I respect that but to me, I don't feel you can win in today's NBA playing triangle ball a majority of the time w/o elite players. Maybe Phil's beginning to realize that with a move like this.

No Drama! Just fits with Phil's timeline. They will have to get results and i'm sure they will. It's all about Phil and JH working together to improve this roster from within and by additions. They have a lot of work to do over the next couple of months. This is exciting.

I think what his goal is is to leave this team in the best possible position he can and doesn't care if the winning happens while he's still here as long as their a team that's built to win for a long time and don't have a bunch of bad contracts and have all their draft picks.

Holy crap you are just like the new york media people cause you always find something to try to make it look bad just like the media is already trying to do.
