Woah, that Josh Adams tape was very impressive. Looks much better than Wroten if you ask me especially when you consider the fact that he has a very fluid shot.
Stats aren't that bad, but he clearly is not a point guard.

What is a PG in the NBA anyway? His 40 minute numbers were pretty darn good. Nearly 27 points 6 rebounds 5 assists 2 steals with a true SP of 54%. I dont know if he fits this team however. Hes going to need some cultivating. You want him to stay aggressive but hes got to play under control in a team game. Now he has the NBA athletic ability the aggression the mentality hes got a good jumpshot sans the leg kick a decent passer great rebounder he seems like a decent defender--theres a lot to him. I think he would need a year in the D league with specific instructions to play a tad more under control but without taking away things that make him a really good player--some balance.

We still will be running the Triangle which should make it less of a big deal whether a guard is a true PG. If he can drive off screens and make simple passes I suspect he would be fine. JH had Bledsoe and Knight who are exactly CP3!!! JH seems to know how to teach guards. The joke is JH is the PG Whisperer.

Nice stuff. Why do you think he isn't ranked that high at all in this coming draft as opposed to all the other point guards? What are his weaknesses? This player looks too damn good to be that lowkey. Creative Finisher Explosive change of speeds + crazy athleticism Decent passer(for a SG) Efficient scorer + smooth jumper Surely there must be something wrong with him?

Look like the Pistons are going to try and get Valentine--traded Dinwiddie

He got better every year he was in college. Hes a legit 6-2 n physically muscular 190+ He obviously has a really good handle and good vision He has to be a top 3 athlete in the draft(42 inch vertical) He can make plays with the dribble Although he has a little glitch on his shot (kicks his leg out) he hits them from all angles and hes good off the dribble shooting which is much harder He shot 38% from 3 with high volume but also went into a mini slum to end season was at 40%+ for most of it Has tremendous speed with the ball Rugged you can tell he plays very hard and from listening to him talk he loves basketball There is a lot to work with

He said he models his game after Westbrook. You can see it.

JESUS! That kid has some pretty amazing hops. Kind of like a DRose on some of those dunks. This is why you just have to mine the talent pool for unhyped players who might be able to help your team. You put a kid like that in a Hornacek Style System and I can imagine he'll be a star.
Hes someone in the late 2nd or UDFA that you can bring in and see if you can harness his physical skills to conform to a team first approach.
That would be awesome. That was some video.
Wow, that was sick. I see a lot of White Chocolate Williams. Also reminds me of that athletic kid with that same playground style from summer league last year--Briggs, what was that kid's name again?
Glad to see we did bring in Cat Barber for a workout btw.. Would've been crazy if we didn't.
I know who you are talking about fine. I think he played for the Suns summer league team but name escapes me

I tweeted about Josh Adams to Clarence Gaines . Ya know just in case he hadn't noticed. Y'all should do the same thing. Just an innocent question about what he thinks of the kid!

Put my votes for draft picks on early second Malcolm Brogdon-- big bodied sh with very high iq plays both sides could start for us and I like Georges Niang to replace Lance Thomas on unit 2 as a 3-4. The udfa market will be huge this year so guys like jones Adams Forbes etc we will have pick ems with two summer league teams and a lot of opportunity to join the Knicks. I'm thinking 31-35 on Brogdon and 45-55 on Niang. I like the character on both of these guys and feel they can play now which is a criteria for me with a draft pick. Guys who may need development I can wait until after the draft to see what falls

Pistons had an all guard workout yesterday that included Forbes Adams Ullis. They just traded Dinwiddie as well

I really like Dinwiddie. Big, versatile Shaun Livingston-type guard. He's the guy I wanted the Knicks to take in the Cleanthony Early draft.. It's clear Dinwiddie's been available--I bet we could've traded for this dude last yr--maybe for any one of Seraphin, Early or Galloway. Could've added a good player and there's a good chance none of those 3 will be retained anyway. I think the Bulls got a nice player here. SWG never really wanted to give this kid a true shot, even when they had all those guard injuries. I wonder what he didn't like about him exactly.

Fine maybe he'll get opportunity in Chicago? I think I've got the draft down this year. I liked Valentine but he's going before 25 so the realism is out. Also while having innate skills teams will still have to position him. There's a numbers game to the draft 14 foreign players will be taken so there's 46 domestic slots. Obviously 25 of them won't be possible to get so then 20 guys might go 2 be rd. We need a 2 g and I think if Brogdon falls past 30 we should be willing to off er 2 mm and 2 additional 2s to get him. Also I've become vey hot on Niang I really really like him. Both guys can play nba basketball right now and the Knicks need them BOTH. Like I mentioned above we can make out in ufda 4-5 guys for two teams

This is a Pat Riley - Danny Ainge kind of pick. The kid has a bit of Debusschere in him - spunk/attitude. If I were the Knicks I'd absolutely take a flyer on him. He's a glove fit Jackson prototype player.

He's gritty and tough almost like a pg version of John Starks I don't know about Gaines. I'm kind of fearful he'll go after a raw big man and or an ineffecient guard with size. I'd stay with brogdon niang Adams. Forbes hammons

I can't speak to the players you mention aside from the Adams videos. I think because you so broadly study these players you guess right a lot by sheer volume (not a criticism, just a point of observation).
After Porzingus, In Gaines We Trust. If he recommends a towel waver, sign em.

nixluva@ 6/18/2016 9:32 PM
Gaines is legit!!! If after talking with Hornacek they've changed the focus of the type of players they can target he will adjust to the new criteria. Hornacek is like MDA in terms of his love for guards. He will want dynamic guards.
