Gaines is legit!!! If after talking with Hornacek they've changed the focus of the type of players they can target he will adjust to the new criteria. Hornacek is like MDA in terms of his love for guards. He will want dynamic guards.
Briggs what are his weaknesses though?

He turned the ball over to much. He doesn't have great length. He has an obvious glitch on his shot-- kicks his leg out. Played against good not great competition. Too much lone wolf play at Wyoming his last year.
I don't think he's going to be a top 60 pick. If the Knicks like him sit back and be aggressive after the draft. I've tried to use a level headed approach to the offseason. I'm looking at two projected 2 nd rounders while I will keep my mind open to slippage. Our biggest need is a 2 G and I think Brogdon at 6-5 225 who plays a solid smart two way game who has high iq who is likely a plug and play prospect would be a premium choice if we can get that high 2 and he's there. Secondly we have a need for a small ball 4 who showed he could defend 5 in college and has the diverse offensive game that enhances a roster in almost any situationI think a draft of Brogdon and Niamg makes a lot of sense. Guys like Adams Forbes Jones etc they will be numbers casualties. So even if we like a player we can stay patient on the projects and draft the guys who can help the team now. I like Adams but he will need some development if we at even interested. Brogdon and Niang can be plugged in right now
Knicks worked out Wayne Selden at some point.

I REALLY like this draft for the Knicks being able to get some guards. Even some of the likely UDFA's will have some interesting guards n wings.
