Jackson talked for 2 years as if he wanted to implement the Triangle.

And he implicitly admitted that that's NOT what they were doing 100%
before Rambis took over from Fisher (else . . . why have the workshop
on Triangle basics, if they didn't need them ??).

So what kind of a chance did Rambis really get (?)

What kind of chance did the Triangle really get (?)

This Hornacek hire seems like nonsense to me.

Where's the continuity . . . across the board (?)

Where's the confidence building in the Triangle Culture . . . which is
multi-leveled with many stages of development.

Knicks were making good progress in building Triangle Culture.

Even with the Fisher debacle.

This Hornacek hire looks like a complete disruption to the process . . .

Rambis was also the interim coach. He never was hired permanently to be the head coach. I don't think it is a stretch to say the team struggled under him. He did not win much during his audition for the job and I don't think the players gave him a positive review at the exit meetings.
I think they simply didn't like him, and while life isn't a popularity contest this means something.
i think as a person they liked him. Rambis is well known as a good guy. But as a head coach he is dreadful. Im glad the players were honest about that

I agree. I don't think they cared for him as a head coach. If you are an interim, 9-19, and the players not caring for you in that position is a bad look. Woodson as an interim took over a team 6 games under .500 and went 18-6.

woody also had success in atlanta. However going 18-6 definetly secured his position

And like Rambis, he was Grunwalds guy.

No need to castrate the dude. On to the next. Positive vibes

i didnt see that as castrating him, he was just being honest. You can be positive but honest as well

He's not being honest. He coached under Kahn in Minnesota. Here he was just an interm coach to a team on a tail spin. That's being honest.

1. You have the workshop to teach the basic principles of the system, which seem to be very very similiar to many of the "modern" offenses being run. As a side note, everyone wanted Phil to coach. Fisher didnt take his input. He didnt coach enough. Rambis is supposed to be his muse, he coaches (which is what everyone wanted) and now, why did he run a camp? This guy cant win.

2.Rambis got a fair chance on Phil wasnt selling off pieces. He got a team. He said it takes 2 years to learn the triangle. He was supposed to already know it. The team showed no sign of improvement. Simple.

3.The triangle is getting a chance. Phil hired 1 bad coach and Rambis was never meant to be a head coach here.

4.Hornacek is an offensive coach who can either A)Modernize the traditional version of the triangle or B)use the principles of the triangle to upgrade his offense.

5.The continuity is on the (principles of) the triangle. Fisher went away from it. Rambis lost/ never had the players confidence.

6.Confidence building in the triangle culture? Wasnt the camp to help players learn and be confident in the system?

7. The Hornacek hire was the type of hire Phil should have made in the first place. I am sure Fisher will do better IF he gets a second stint. Look at Kidd. His first season was a joke. He got some experience and won a power struggle. Not every coach fresh off being a player works.
