Seems like we have a clear indication of the type of ball that is going to win and win big, and it's not the CLE model. If CLE continues to be embarrassed and is swept or similarly disposed of, what does Lebron do, and how might this impact the Knicks? For one, CLE needs better shooters. We have this guy who would be a great fit next to Lebron - could Lebron work his magic and convince Melo to join him in CLE for a few years of Finals battles with GS? Not bashing on Melo here, I like the Porzingas/Melo dynamic, but do wonder if the embarrassment Lebron must be experiencing will lead to outcomes we wouldn't of thought possible a few weeks ago. Thoughts?
why cant the thrashing bring lebron to the knicks?
dacash wrote:why cant the thrashing bring lebron to the knicks?
Lebron and Melo's ego are too big to leave unfinished business.
dacash wrote:why cant the thrashing bring lebron to the knicks?
Lebron isn't leaving Cleveland. His goal is to be the person the give Cleveland its first championship in 50yrs including all pro sports franchises.
It means we really can put an end to the bring back JR, bring back Shump threads.

and melo constantly says that what he wants to bring to knicks
so why do these keep coming up?
For now, the Thompson/Curry duo is the system but its not for everyone.
Their system for their roster is a great match.
What does this thrashing mean for us? First off JR is showing that when the going gets tough he is not the man.
It also shows a team that is using spacing and a system and it looks like music being performed. Its not just about Curry or Thompson raining in miracles, its about passing and movement.
Draymond showing good PF skills. GSW shows different looks. Nalod impressed!
Only regret is games are over after 3 qtrs.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kevin Love was traded this summer.
Maybe to Boston.
I doubt it'll have much of anything to do with the Knicks.
probably that cleveland has only played road games so far in this series.
I don't think Love is a great fit there, but the worst thing Cleveland can do is overreact. There is nothing they can do to consider themselves a better team than Golden State. They should keep the core intact (Lebron, Love, Irving, Thompson) and continue to look for the right pieces to fit around them. Then hope that Irving and Love learn from their finals struggles and come back more prepared. Even then it still might not be enough. They need to hope golden state experiences injuries and chemistry issues and be ready when that opportunity opens. Sometimes it takes luck, nothing else they can do except be there in the mix every season in june.

They could've had Wiggins ++ instead of K Love --and that was on LBJ. Now LBJ will leave and Clev is stuck with crap. Hell prob go back to Miami and that team will be unbeatable for 2-3 years.

that was a dumb shortsighted trade but Lebron isn't leaving Cle.

And Lebron going back to Miami does not overcome the dynamic motion offense GSW thrashed CLE using. Defense wins chips, and GSW proves that. They are simply a better team and a better, more dynamic group of teammates (on D this shows clearly). Kerr deserves credit, of course, for coaching effectively.
The Cavs have some issues matching up with GS. It was a smart move to add Frye but if Tristan could shoot the ball it would be even better! You can see how if Love was able to drive it would make him more of a threat as well. The limitations of Shump show up too. Kyrie can get to the basket but GS is able to keep up with him defensively. So basically Lebron is the only one with a clear advantage on his defender.
The Knicks will have something special with KP. His skills change how the Knicks can play. The Knicks need to fill up the roster with Big Guards and Wings with Multiple skills and 3pt shooting.

They were down 3-1 and 12 points in game 6 to OKC --they were 1 good Q away from going down 4-1 and pretty handily. A combination of size speed and shooting can beat GS.
did we learn anything from the Toronto Sucks Premature Ejac?
Doesn't mean anything. Cleveland will still thrash the Knicks.

I was gonna make a Cleveland sucks thread. But I'm not creative enough in how I can trash each player.

Well they've been trying for two years now to trade K.Love so i'm sure they would love to trade him and will do what they can again this off season. I can see Boston getting in that conversation again since they were in it at this last trade deadline.
It means nothing for the Knicks unless Melo waives his NTC which we all already know.

It wasn't a great trade and Love was clearly overrated in Minnesota, but Wiggins is so far falling short of his expectations as well. For a LeBron team, Wiggins probably wasn't a good fit either, and would have been better served being dealt for another star other than Love. But the Wiggins for Love deal wasn't good for Cleveland, i agree.

KP has a real chance of being a very special type of player and one you don't ever see with him being 7'3 with shooting range out past the 3 point line and an inside game that's already good but in 2/3 years should be as good as his outside game. We really do have a special type of player and with the right pieces around him we could be the next great team but it will take 2/3/4 years of good drafting and signing the right free agents to put around him.
I really don't mind building right now around Melo to see if we can get a good team built and in 3 years when Melo is gone we just take that $20+ million to bring in another great player to put with KP and whoever else Phil has brought in.
