Good interview. Entertaining stuff. They asked if he was gonna move away from Melo and towards focus on KP. He didn't bite on that. Asked about Jose being slow JH said he thinks Jose will be able to push, maybe not with the dribble but passing ahead.

A lot of the same stuff covered but a bit more detail. Basically he's gonna focus on pushing the ball and looking for early offense, run some of his Suns stuff and aspects of the Triangle after the D is set. Sounds like it certainly won't dominate the style of play but will still be a part of things but with a Horny Twist. LOL.

Yeah it definitely sounds like he plans to create a system based on running the ball first to try and get easier points and the triangle is then set up to go to if that doesn't work.

I noticed he didn't mention Wroten again when talking about PG's. I don't know the reason why but its noticeable.

Hornecek also mentioned the fact that every team isn't meant to be a 3 pt shooting team, and hinted he wanted to build a system around the personnel. I am thinking that means more 3's but also better (closer) mid Range shots.

I think that he is referring to a team like SA who has HOFers that can't shoot 3's yet they are so far above average in efficiency in the mid range that they are still super competitive.

I wouldn't worry about the Wroten thing. He has to see him in practice and games. No point of JH committing to Wroten before he proves what he is. So he's only talking about the guys with guaranteed contracts. He hasn't mentioned Gallo either.

This is still such a weird hire for me, i really don't know to expect. I really think that phil was looking for 2 major attributes in his coach, A guy he can communicate with freely (6 hr interview on back to back days is a fckng lot) and a guy who is a players coach.

Funny how he looked up to Isiah and never mention stockton. Stockton avg 15 assist in a 82 game season, do you know how hard that is to do in one game..smh

I think they got to play together some growing up around chicago. Also, wasn't there a story that Jeff's dad was one of the coaches for Isiah's high school team?
