Knicks working on a contract to keep Rambis on the bench with the Knicks. I actually think it's a good move to keep him but i know some don't and i'm sure a lot will be saying this is a Phil move but i don't really care if it is or isn't.

Happy medium for Phil. Probably couldn't straight up hire Rambis as head coach due to backlash from owner, players, media, and fans so gets his best friend still close to him.
Don't like his ideas for KP.
i dont care if rambis is here, as long as his being here doesn't affect hornacek's ability to coach in any fashion. what i do think is funny though, is that for some reason this franchise always has to have ONE guy who always needs to be on the bench. it was herb for years at the request of dolan and now it's rambis at the request of phil. just seems idiotic to me.

You need Wedding General for any occasion.
puke!!!
rambis the spy has replaced herb the spy ... hate it.
If I were to read JH's mind, I would say that he is thinking "no effin way I want that putz on my staff but I have no choice ... SHIT! ... ok at least I got paid a boat load of cash to be here and have become a relevant coach again"
terrible. how does it make any sense that hornacek made this call?
This is not remotely surprising. I think anyone who was hired at head coach, Phil would have campaigned to keep Rambis on the staff. I don't mind Rambis as an assistant. He doesn't have the personality to be a head coach, neither did Brian Shaw. Both have shown themselves to be capable assistants. I just hope Hornacek's offensive philosophy and attempts to modernize the Triangle win out over Rambis's ideas, like putting KP at SF.

Because he's running some triangle so it makes sense to have one assistant who knows the triangle well

We need someone who knows GS triangle and JH probably knows that much better than Rambis already. I can't see the value added with having him there other than to give Phil all access insight to inside info.

Or it was Jeff's idea to hire him because he knows he can help the team and help him with some of the triangle options of the offense. I wouldn't expect you to see it that way but he said it was his choice to hire his assistants and until anyone can show solid proof that he only hired him cause Phil made him then you should quiet down and deal with it and i don't expect anyone to show any solid proof otherwise.

You can't see it because you're blinded by hatred. Open your eyes because it's plain as day that Rambis is a good fit on this bench.
As an assistant, he's fine. He wasn't the right option for a head coach because he was willing to come back as an assistant. I'm glad this worked out.

I don't hate rambis at all and I can see quite clearly because I am not blinded by having to agree with everything party line.
Perhaps you are blinded by love? Love is blind (i think).
I love how you try to tell everyone how to think and that of course it should be like you think ... not sure you actually think though

That's a disgusting way to spin it.

don't worry, I am sure they will find a way to spin it that sits very well with the party.

as long as he has zero say in rotation. Rambis and JH played together for a couple of yrs so that helps a lot..Rambis is a nice guy, and may have some quality input, he's just not a head coach

This article says that sources say this decision was not forced on JH and it was his decision.

No need for the article. Hornacek already said he had full authority to chose his own staff. That's enough for me. You can't trust any writer even if theit opinion is in your favor.

so if you cant see it, then it doesn't exist. Is that accurate?
What can you tell me about JH and Rambis's personal relationship? They were teammates at one point and surely know each other from the NBA circles. How are the personally? Chatty? Buddies? Please detail what you know about their relationship.
Thanks in advance for adding something!
