Cleveland is a 30 win team and LeBron gives then +25 games.

You could say something very similar for Miami.

Yup it's as simple as that. Kyrie is a solid 2nd banana, Love is useless there because he is not the role player he needs to be. Thompson is the x-factor with a particular skillset that fits perfect next to stars, and Delly brings some fire, energy, and shooting as an ideal role player. The rest are a waste if they aren't next to LeBron. He changes everything. You cannot look at this roster as the recipe for success without giving 95% of the credit to the 2nd greatest player of all-time.
Watching the playoffs and Finals really gives me a great feeling for the Knicks future with KP. In fact we have much better post play and big man flexibility since KP can move so well and score from everywhere. RoLo and Melo can post up against anyone. Once we upgrade the guard n wing spots this team could be a LEGIT contender some day.
Cavs don't even use Moz in a series like this. KP however, could still be a huge factor and that could be special for this team. No one is going to be pushing the Knicks around or running this team off the floor if they can upgrade the guard n wing spots sufficiently.
BBC's
Big, beautiful Cavaliers

You cannot put all your hopes on one player even he is as unique as KP.
He is still years away from prime and Melo is not a sure think anymore.
We do not have anything close to Bron/Kyre or Curry/Clay.
Will take 2-3 years of building up to get to this level if we are lucky.

Yeah, I think they wouldn't have made the playoffs without Lebron.

KP has the type of transcendent talent and potential on both sides of the ball to be a top 5 NBA player and lead this team to the finals many times by his 4th year and on. Melo can continue to be a productive 15-17 ppg scorer until 37 or so. Lopez will be the same type of player he is now into his mid-30s. We need to find 2 guards that can really be a big part of this moving forward. A true PG, and another good scorer that can share secondary scoring responsibilities with Melo and put up 15-18 ppg. I think if we accomplish this, we will be fine.

Agree, they wouldn't have made it in the east this year for sure.

Why is it that you assume I'm suggesting the team would be a Finals team right away? I clearly said the FUTURE of this team. Over the next 3 years I expect this team to get better and better with KP at the core of the team.
IMO the key is what Phil can accomplish this summer along with what JH can do with the roster. Don't be surprised if the team makes a significant jump next season. Upgrades to the roster plus JH making changes that should enhance and maximize the talent on the roster will make an impact IMO.
The NYK's have a few uptempo and PnR players already. They will no doubt be adding more this summer. I'm very optimistic about the coming next 3 seasons for this team.
Who on Cleveland is big bodied and athletic?
Lebron
TT
Who else?

Don't know but Love has the Big Bodied part! 😈

Yup, they are the only 2.
GS has more big bodies lol...GS has had more defensive issues lately and LeBron is finally taking advantage of GS making him take jumpers. GS seems to be beatable if you can defend and push in transition. Then again, Curry hasn't been himself. He should be abusing Kyrie just as much as Klay is killing JR.
Sticky this thread please.
It was great to see the bring in Dahnty Jones for a few minutes. He gives them more on offense than Shump.
Credit shump doing some good work on wearing down Curry.

This. I think it was because RJ had three fouls but Jones time on the court was one of the highlights of the first half for me. I don't how many minutes he can sustain but I would love to see him be a part of their rotation. You can tell he is loved by his teammates by the reactions they were having to his success. Also, I am rooting for the Cavs and I cringe when Shump is on the floor and especially when he touches the ball. I feel like it is just a matter of time before he turns the ball over, commits a foul, takes a bad shot etc.

He gave them energy off the bench. Good athletic kid who can play. He is one of those "on the cusp" type who can't seem to get big money and settle into a system.

I think his career is winding down. Similar to Jefferson but not as talented. Relying on those guys in the playoffs when they can get their rest is smart. They know what to do in the moment.
