Compared to 26 last year. The nba said teams do not have a collective vision past pick 10 for what may happen
There's some talent in the draft for sure, but it's nowhere near the level of draft class last year's draft was. 2015 will go down as one of the greatest and deepest draft classes of all time

Maybe star wise not close in depth

Uh, Devin Booker went 13th. Myles Turner went 11th. Bobby Portis went 22nd. I'm not sure which draft you are saying is deeper, but there is no chance 2016 compares to 2015.
There are picks this year in the late 20's, 30's and 40's that will make NBA rosters.
BRIGGS named the draft well when he called it the "eye of the beholder."
There is tremendous depth in this draft and many players will stick with teams
that fit their style.
Talking about the players, let's see if I have the 2016 draft crop figured out
based on what the "experts" on-line tell me:
Simmons-can't shoot
Ingram-too thin
Brown-too smart
Bender-too young/inexperienced
Dunn-can't shoot
Murray-can't defend
Hield-too old
Chriss-too young
Ellenson-too Love-like
D.Davis-too inexperienced
Poeltl-too old school
Labissiere-too soft
Valentine-degenerative knees
Ulis-degenerative hip
Korkmaz-too thin
Maker-too well traveled/unknown
Qi-too thin/old
Richardson-one hit wonder (NCAA tournament sensation)
Sabonis-too unathletic
Baldwin-too much of a short shooting guard
B. Johnson-stayed in college too long (Low ceiling)
Funny how we focus on deficiencies. I completely trashed Murray last week before restoring him to a respectable #7 in my mock. But I don't feel sorry for Jamal. He's about to make millions.
Sometimes I think others view things overly optimistic because this is the time of year we all overvalue draft prospects by comparing them to legit NBA players and assuming that those on rosters are expendable. Truth is, you don’t know what you’ve got until the games are played.
A similar post should be done about the games superstars and what their deficiencies were coming into the draft.
I can't wait for Thursday night!

I'm with you on this one, but you always have to give a draft 3-4 years to "ripen."
2015 just seems like a very solid draft...glad we got 3 picks out of it.

I agree, but it is clear to see that right off the bat the 2015 draft class was a special and rare class. Towns alone should be a generation defining star for the next 10-15 years. If we're lucky, KP does that, too. And that's just scratching the surface of that draft. Russell, Okafor, Stein, Winslow, Portis, Turner, Booker, Hezonja, Stanley Johnson, Mudiay, Nance Jr, etc etc. We got lucky to have a high pick in that draft.
I think we should look to pick up 2 picks in the 2nd round. Look to stockpile athletic depth.
