I would think it has to do with his injury. Wroten is only 23. Also, maybe they have eyes on someone in the draft.

I feel bad for our Wron Wron!!!!

My guess is Wroten skill set is not for Hornacek and best to let him find a place to land earlier than later.
We paid him a bit, and he got to rehab.
Not sure what this all means, but Phil is not sleeping on the job.

This is why you can't put any stock into a guy like this. A lot of talk about him being a starter/rotation player, yet he has now been cut twice in the same year. Anything he added was to be a bonus. No longer.

I was never a Wroten fan, but I think this has as much to do with his injury as it does with how he plays.
