Knicks · Do we want any of our players back who opted out for a bigger payday? (page 1)

My ops. Id be inclined to resign Thomas if his increase was minimal. His game improved, he's versatile and his work ethic is unquestionable. Holliday however seems to be a similar player at a cheaper cost. Thought Jax overpaid for Williams last year, he played decent but Im still very leery of him being a underacheiving dog. Supposedly Jackson likes him but Im hoping his asking price is too high. Affalo could still anchor second unit but have to be for one year deal if we are holding off for 17 fa market

Afflalo definitely not for what he is going to demand on the open market.

I'd do what I can to keep Thomas. Let DWill test the market, if no one bites bring him back for a little more than what he would have gotten had he opted in.

To me bringing back Lance is essential.

DWill I bring back at the right number.

I think Affalo is not coming back. Too many burned bridges.

Forgot about UFA Seraphin who also had his moments and jump over O Quinn on depth chart at times .With Lopez gone, wonder if any thought is given to bringing him back or if Hergomes and Quinn push him totally out of any equation . None of the centers bandied about (other than KP) are going to get up and down the court for Hornachek and Rose. Going to be interesting to see what type of players Knicks seek

I think you need to make a play for Lance- he's a glue player who can do a number of things, and he's a good clubhouse guy. You figure that he's looking for $7-10M/year, though, as this will probably be his biggest chance to cash out as an NBA player.

No Afflalo, who has to be looking for $10M+/year, given that he gave up $8M in 2016.

I get a feeling that Seraphin comes back for the type of $$ Williams got. He went to Latvia with KP, and seems to have been a good teammate. Intriguing player, but so damn inconsistent.

lance is a must!
Chandler @ 6/23/2016 11:32 AM
depends what happens in the draft and with other FAs

Lance is easy to like but depends on the number and what else unfolds

I would like to pursue DWill (again at the right number). He's not the dud he was made out to be. He needs to be used in the right way, and I think Hornacek's 8 seconds or less is one such way

Gotta bring back my guy L.Thomas, would like to bring back D.Williams as long as his price tag per is under $6 maybe $7 mil, No way on A.Afflalo, don't really care if we bring back L.Galloway or not but thinking they probably will now that we traded or waived all of our other PG's and i'm also either way on Seraphin cause i think he's a better player then what he was for us last year and think with a better team he will be a better player.
fishmike @ 6/23/2016 12:26 PM
I like Lance and DWill both, but Im not giving either big money unless we have other pieces already added.
