Wow. Brooklyn gets some cap room and a pick. I really like Thad Young as a player - he's a perfect small ball 4. That's a great move by Indiana.

They got Teague and Thad Young the past two days. Yeesh. They're gonna be right back in the thick of things.

I have no idea what Nets are doing. Why are they tanking when they don't control any of their 1st rounders…

EDIT: they'll lose out on FA too

I agree. Was there anything to Teague's self reported injury? Was it just to stay out of Philly?

Not a bad move for the Nets if they want to get rid of Young, who has 3 years left in his contract, and if Indy wants him they are getting a decent player who is "only" making about $13M/yr on average.

Win/Win, IMO.

I think they're trying to clear up their cap and get some picks back. They have no young players at all. Clearing cap and getting a decent pick is pretty good. But pick 20 honestly seems low for Thad Young.

Yes they are. They've made themselves significantly better with Young and Teague.

I agree. I think they could have gotten more.

That's my point..#20 in this draft is gonna be a role player. Who are nets signing? I don't see any of the elite guys coming so over spending on a decent guy makes little sense when you already would of had Young on a cheap deal. Hawks got #12 for Hill. Young is better player.

kind of give some perspective on Lopez value also... they are similar IMO. Maybe Lopez gets us the mid first from Boston? I am ok passing on that considering the upside Rose brings.

My buddy who is a net fan just texted me and said the Nets will have 55 million in cap space after this trade.

Thats all they got. For a team that had so many options and assets a few years ago, they are in a really crappy situation.

But all the scrutiny is only in the Knicks.... Brooklyn needs to get some of that flame too

lol Its the Lebron frenzy all over again.

Maybe they can get Deron Williams back lol

Trade Lopez for young guy and pick and then sign Conley,Horford and Parsons….FANTASY GM'ING!!!
Knixkik @ 6/23/2016 2:46 PM
Good move for both teams. Indy is putting together a nice group. NJ just needs to collect picks where they can like Philly did. It will be a long process for them and this is how to begin.
Chandler @ 6/23/2016 2:51 PM
so much for Paul George playing the 4 -- what Larry Bird was pushing

Sounds like Rondo was hoping for a big offer from NYK or BKN. Maybe Nets still make offer....
