That'd be interesting. I'd be on board. Especially if DWill is too pricey.

Better player than D-Will imho. I'd get this guy to play 2G, then he can pick up mins. at backup 3 as well.

Yeah, IMHO we need guys to play both 2 and 3 - 2/3 swing guys. I'd put Solomon Hill in that category.

I think Gerald Green might be one of those guys who slips thru the FA cracks and we can get for cheap as well. He played great for Hornacek in PHX, too.

One thing I like about Hill -- he shouldn't cost nearly as much as Crabbe, Bazemore, Batum, Fournier etc.. I read an article saying Hill could be had for a contract in the $7-9mm/year range..

Agree completely - and guys like Bazemore... would've been a minimum deal going into last season... no reason whatsoever to pay him $12M or something insane. You can find a cheap version of Bazemore. Bazemore is Atlanta's cheap version of DeMarre Carroll. No way Atlanta pays Bazemore...

For the starters, need someone that can catch and shoot. With Rose being able to penetrate a defense regularly, vital they have floor spacing. Porzingis can do that, but we need a spot up natural shooter at 2.

Believe it or not Afflalo would not be that bad, now paired with someone that can be the primary shot creator. Last year we were relying too much on AA being Kobe like. With Rose, Afflalo can stick to being either a post up threat or a spot up shooter nothing else. However i did not like the chemistry and attitude AA showed last year. Came across as a selfish player.

Someone Allen Crabbe would work for me. Likely to get him you are going to need to spend 40$m on a 4 year deal in my estimation. However Crabbe really would fit in well. Good catch and shoot player, already knows how to run and get open for 3's and knows how to play off two ball dominant perimeter players. He is high on my wish list.

Who is the best available defender? I would prefer a guy that can shoot 3 but the main focal point for me is defense.
I don't want to see career nights for the opposing guards. We need a lot more defense to even sniff the playoffs.

Galloway sucks. Barely an NBA player

Evan Turner and Courtney Lee are both really good defenders.

Lee is more of a catch and shoot 3pt shooter, above average, not lights out.

Turner has more of a mid-range game and is a passer on offense - he could play some point for us, which I think could be valuable if DRose gets hurt.

I'd go for Turner right now. But we still need a back up PG and another 2/3 shooter, like Gerald Green maybe (who played well for Hornacek in PHX)

Completely agree. Nice guy, easy to root for and I respect the work he's put in here but that's exactly right--barely an NBA player. I concur.

Afflalo will be 3rd to 4th option and not a 2nd option, so that means less focus and pressure is on him.

You take that back right now young man....lol

Whoever we get to play SG needs to be a top defender so we can put him on the other teams best player cause we don't have anyone now that can do that but we do have enough scoring between Melo, KP and Rose so i think a 3-D guy is a must. It sounds like Phil is gonna do what he can to get L.Thomas back but he can't be our starting 2 guard. E.Turner is a really good defender but doesn't have a good 3 point shot but i'd still be happy with him cause he has everything else and can play 3 positions with one being PG so that would be good for resting Rose. C.Lee might work well there and K.Bazemore scares me for some reason.

I just saw that the Thunder, Nets and Mavs will all be in on trying to sign L.Thomas. The Thunder loved him when he was there and there were supposedly a lot of people that didn't want him to be in the trade to us so i see them wanting him back and now with trading Ibaka they'll want him even more, the Nets want him just because he's a Knick and they love to do whatever they can to mess with us so this sucks cause i can see his price getting way to high for us especially with the Nets having all the cap room they have.
