Since we did this last time, we have traded for this guy Derrick Rose. So obviously predictions will change. We are predicting next year's line-up. What is so complicated?
KP
Melo
Durant
Holiday
Rose

Oh I forgot about Mayo. That's an interesting option. I think it may be Turner at SG, but I wouldn't mind Mayo at all.
I do think Noah will be the starting center.

At this point i really think that it's almost a given. But Phil is always doing the unexpected, so can't be sure.

On a one-year deal, which is unlikely, its ok.

Youre title implied that we should think of a lineup post draft. yet we didnt draft anyone.
when rose was acquired, people talked about the player and different lineups
thats why i was like, unless we missed something what has changed from the draft last night
i'll wait until after i see who they sign - but thats just me
have fun!

Now that it is after the draft (and no longer before), feel free to predict what the lineup will be in December.
Salary dump Kyle. Convince Derozan and Whiteside to split the 35mm or so available after cap holds.
Rose.
Derozan
Melo
KP
Whiteside.

youre right, im not stupid. just like your not stupid (i'm giving you the benefit of doubt because i dont actually know you but when you post it seems fairly intelligent).
however a major event wouldve occurred by December that might have a major event on predictions...that would be summer free agency in july. one would think to make their predictions (shortly) after this time period. thats when i plan to make lineup predictions
but im not in the business of telling when people should make their lineup predictions. its done everyday on this site anyways.
i had a simple question about why post draft lineups. the implication was that i might've missed someone (like acquiring an undrafted free agent that i didnt know of). i apologize if that communication was missed. THAT potentially could've changed my idea of a different lineup. if there were no major changes post draft then i won't participate. very simple. not a big deal
but i do hope you guys enjoy your post draft lineup discussion

I think people here were thinking that the team was going to make a move on draft night. So in light of no move, asking if expectations were revised doesn't seem completely outlandish to me. Some guys were saying we'd trade up to the mid-first round and get a SG to start, etc. (Don't ask me how they expected to pull that off!) We have a slightly clearer picture about FA because of how some teams drafted and traded on draft night, too. For instance Toronto didn't draft a SG, making it seem pretty obvious they expect to be able to re-sign DeRozan. Orlando made a huge, weird move. OKC made a move that seemed to be made with the intent to get Durant to stay... etc.

As a long time OJ Mayo fan I don't hate that starting 5 but if you assume high-end $15M for Noah and high-end $10M for Mayo -- that still leaves us with another $10M --- I'd like to add a very solid back-up PG to the mix. Just saying.
A lights out 3 pt shooter like Seth Curry would be great with this team!

We can do post July 10 too. I tend to do post coffee, post lunch, post nap and post dinner lineups. Until Durant resigns with Oklahoma, I will be stuck with him in my lineup somewhere. My above post lunch lineup was reactionary to the Noah posts. So I put Whiteside in. Kind of wanted Whiteside and Whitehead on the same team.

Agreed.
Yeah, this is close to what I'd like to do. I think we need to sign two guards - a guy who can start at SG and a guy who can be relied on for 30mpg as a backup PG/ combo third guard.
I like the idea of Bayless for that role.
Bayless, C. Lee and Noah would be a nice haul. And may even leave us enough left over to keep DWill and Lance and Langston.
DRose / Bayless
C. Lee / Holiday / Galloway
Melo / DWill
KP / Lance
Noah / Hernangomez / KOQ
I'd role with that 12.
13/14/15th men
Plumlee
Baker
Maybe Early maybe a summer league standout
Great line up ideas...
As far as a back up pg... maybe Jeremy Lin can find his way back to nyc... all karma will be forgiven
