No, it resets to $3.5m.
Ok but the $3.5M reset is for the upcoming season right so we would in fact lose the $3.4M we had from last year that we could have used draft night. Is that accurate?

Some of it was used in the O'Quinn S&T. How much of it is anyone's guess, but it's documented cash was included in that deal.
But yes, you don't bank trade cash. It expires and resets.
Maybe some cash was available on draft night, unless the KNicks sent $3.4m to the Magic.
If what was left was enough to close a deal is a complete unknown.
If the Knicks get Jackson at 45 that would be a great get. I have a feeling Boston changed up on the Knicks at 36 where they may have had a promise to the young French SG Cordenier and maybe Boston backed out
well boston certainly has a log jam at guards. there's already talk up here about what does this mean for Rozier, and everyone is still waiting for Smart to develop some offense.
i think, though ainge would never admit, everyone called his bluff on draft day and he didn't draft dunn or murray because that would have made a bad problem even worse, so they selected Brown and hope he becomes something. (my own sense, fwiw, is this was a reach; he seems like a good player but not super at anything [Jeff Green?])
If we trade for Jackson, I will do back flips. His game is similar to Eric Barkley who thived with Horny in Phoenix. Still don't know what Ainge is doing keeping all those picks during the draft.
