Those were my darkest days as a Knicks fan. I wasn't optimistic and had no hope for the future. People here would not have recognized me back then. He must be a good coach tho for Jh to have brought him on. Sometimes it's like that.

Those were my darkest days too. That's why I can't understand why guys are so mad in 2016. This is the best is been in 15 years. Those Scott Layden days were dismal... he was maxing out guys for no good reason. It's disgusting guys want to do the same thing now to the bums out there. Weatherspoon, Eisley, Shandon, Othello, Houston....lord have mercy.

frick Camby...trading Spree for what turned out to be Timmy Thomas, who was later dumped and returned for free, was unconscionable.
Gotta like trendsetter Buick with the reply at the top of the OP... very stylish.
The best part about the whole Layden error were the nicknames on the UK... Shandence EisleySpoon...
I'm going to have to give my therapist a call.... I'm having a relapse

Mike Miller is going to be coaching the team instead of Hornacek.
Ahh, the glory days!
In August of 2001, the Houston Rockets signed Shandon Anderson to a 6-year, $41 million contract and traded him to the Knicks. The Knicks sent Glen Rice and $1 million to the Rockets and Mugsy Bogues to the Mavericks. The Mavericks sent Howard Eisley to the Knicks and the rights to 2nd round pick Kyle Hill with $1 million to the Rockets. After all these deals were done the Knicks were stuck with two mediocre players in Anderson and Eisley that now possessed long-term contracts.

Who can forget we traded Ewing who publicly said two years left. for a washed up glen rice
In some ways we finally climbed out of that hole ... Fifteen years of misery and bust draft picks, traded draft picks, washed up star plucking , eddy curry mess..
For the first time in a long time we have a real core player the unicorn to build around and class acts stars in Rose, melo
All hail porzingod first player since Ewing that will probably bring us to the holy land
All hail porzingod
We finally reached the light at the tunnels end and that light is porzingod!!
Thanks Phil !!
In a surprise, Hornacek said Westchester D-League coach Mike Miller will coach the Knicks’ summer-league club, which begins play July 2.
“He’s familiar, they run the same stuff [in Westchester],’’ Hornacek said. “Let him do it, and we can observe.”Though Hornacek didn’t say it, the prospect of former interim coach Kurt Rambis having the duties may have been too awkward, too much of a consolation prize after Rambis failed to land the permanent head coaching job. Hornacek said Rambis will be the lead assistant, but more in name than in function — he doesn’t view his staff in a pecking order. Rambis’ official title will be “associate head coach,” as it was before Derek Fisher was dismissed.
“I never considered guys lead assistants; they’re all coaches,” said Hornacek, a former teammate of Rambis’ in Phoenix. “I guess his title will say that. Years ago, I talked to Tom Thibodeau about that. He goes: ‘I don’t like calling guys lead, second, third or fourth. They’re assistant coaches. You want to listen to all of them.’ ”

Most people need to remember the pain of the past to appreciate the bright future.
But only few can leave in present moment and enjoy it.
This is the key to happiness.

YOUR RIGHT, you were a complete different post on the MSG boards, "THE GOOD CHARACTER NO TALENT DAYS"
At least Layden is in another state. At least we shouldn't be overpaying Eisley this time. Guess Herb, I mean Rambis, is here to stay. Players apparently didn't like him as a head coach, doubt they are doing cartwheels over him staying as an asst. Guess he's going to be the bad cop.

Interesting that the d league guy, Miller is running things. He probably ends up with at least 4 of the guys at summer league though.
Eisley is a coaching stiff, it's true.
