Beck on Mannix's podcast said he prefers Noah to Howard.

Yeah that to me is how I felt too. Noah even hobbled is a better team player. Better Leader. He's just more of a winning player.

With Howard going to the Hawks, Al Horford is probably Boston bound for max.

Rondo to the BULLS… apparently very close.

OKC apparently now trying to clear cap space to sign Horford and resign KD.
If that happens, the balance of power in the West shifts dramatically.

I get the logic with Noah though. The Knicks obviously think he can stay healthy, and I'd be inclined to go with that over Howard, who probably costs more, over a player with no track record like Biyambo, and over Mozgov who simply isn't that good provided that the contract is insurable. Going into the free agent market means you pay free agent market prices. It's no fun, but I appreciate the swing and I think Lee and Noah are the right players to after given the other players on the team.

Howard or Horford cost more, but they also produce more. Key issue with Howard is that he is a major locker room cancer risk, while Noah brings positive intangibles. And Horford is more of an offensive than defensive player, and offense is not a key need for the Knicks.

For the rest of the league's centers, there is limited value in paying for a Byombo or Mozgov, when any big 7 foot body could provide just a little bit less but at a much lower salary.

With the Noah signing, are we still in play for Durant?

Name guys are already getting overpaid as it is. All things being equal, who's choosing Philly right now? They're going to have to throw money at some *less than notable* guys to build a team after Hinkie destroyed that culture.
