To both Noah and Lee. We are well behind the Celtics and Toronto in just our division still

Yeah, I agree. Horford is currently a superb basketball player. Was he willing to come here?

If Noah is healthy, meaning he doesn't have Knee pain, they are much closer than people think. Horford is clearly the better scorer but Noah the better rebounder and passer. For how we play Noah fits pretty darn well. He's been hampered by the Knee pain and subsequent surgery recovery. I suspect that the further he gets from that surgery he should be healthier and his legs stronger than they were last year. Obviously his shoulder, if healed, will be better. I think we got Noah at just the right time. He looked like he was on decline but may simply have been slowed by the knee issue and needed time to get back to full strength. It seems like people forget that you need time to fully heal from surgery. No different than Melo needed time to heal and got better as the year went along and his leg strength got better.

Durant would have been better as well. Is the assumption the Knicks could have signed Horford if they pleased?

Horford is a phenomenal player. But he was too expensive and too offense oriented. Not what the Knicks needed.

I thinks the reason why Horford would've been nice is his offense fits in rather than having another guy who needs the ball. He's just as good as Noah in terms of passing rebounding and defense but his efficient offense that he expanded out to 3 is a whole different level of player. Knee Surgery and recovery is what has Noah looking like his trajectory is on decline. People are making a mistake if they think he can't bounce back another year from the Knee Surgery. The shoulder thing shouldn't hold him back. On top of all that he's highly motivated.

Horford is obviously a better player than Noah but Noah is better for KP and is exactly what we needed to play with KP.

That's the million dollar question for me. I don't know if there were any reports relating to his interests here but sometimes a player just doesn't want to be here and we can't do anything about it.

Horford is obviously a better player than Noah but Noah is better for KP and is exactly what we needed to play with KP.

WHy is NOah better for KP? I think they would both provide things that could help better KP. They don't call Horford the Godfather for nothing. If Noah is healthy and can get back to around 10-12 pts with decent efficiency I think things will be okay.

As someone who has admired their games for a long time its going to be cool to see them take part in the NY/BOs rivalry.

Who's to say Horford even wanted to come here? Knicks fans always seem to think every FA wants to come here, and all we have to do is call them.

Also if you sign Horford for the max who is our starting SG? I like him and advocated signing him, but it does raise the question of how do you fill in the rest of the team.

You can't get someone in a choke hold and make them play for us. Also you can't twist the coach and GMs arm by telling them we don't need a passionate defensive center who rebounds, starts the fast break, and makes the best assist. But like typical non basketball fans, they only look at a persons scoring ability out to the three point line.....that means horford is better? The only case is horford is healthier......basketball wise, Noah was and still is the best center for this team. Enjoy what you have and stay out of your neighbors yard.

I watched more Hawks games then I care to remember this year and Horford was embarrassing on the boards and defensively this yr. Perhaps he started to mail it in because he was frustrated with his role there but his level of effort and non-contributions in those categories can't be denied.
