I thinks the reason why Horford would've been nice is his offense fits in rather than having another guy who needs the ball. He's just as good as Noah in terms of passing rebounding and defense but his efficient offense that he expanded out to 3 is a whole different level of player. I understand we fit in both players compares to 1 but now that superior player is on the Celtics. I'd rather the Celtics has Noah and we had Horford

Horford is obviously a better player than Noah but Noah is better for KP and is exactly what we needed to play with KP.

We but we all know the Knicks are trading KP right Briggs.
Briggs is just planning ahead

The whole premise of this thread feels like going into one of the basement shops in Chinatown and some one telling me the Gucci watch their selling for 20 bucks is real...

Why would we sign horford to play center next to KP....unless the Jedi mind trick here is to get KP to center

What position would you play Horford at? He's been a center his whole career.

That the point why sign horford...he is not the right type of center to play with KP....we were fortunate with Lopez and lightening struck twice with the Noah transaction...

Horford is not going to do the lunch pail work

Oh I misunderstood what you were saying.
Horford is a very good player. I'd like to have the "problem" of having to fit him and KP together.

No question....very good player...solid citizen....good talent...but for team we have with KP right now...good fit...not great fit...just my opinion

For how we play Noah fits pretty darn well. He's been hampered by the Knee pain and subsequent surgery recovery. I suspect that the further he gets from that surgery he should be healthier and his legs stronger than they were last year. Obviously his shoulder, if healed, will be better. I think we got Noah at just the right time. He looked like he was on decline but may simply have been slowed by the knee issue and needed time to get back to full strength. It seems like people forget that you need time to fully heal from surgery. No different than Melo needed time to heal and got better as the year went along and his leg strength got better.

Noah's has never been as good as Horford. The thing with Noah has been an easy to see gradual decline in productivity. Knick fans will need some divine intervention

Noah at his best was 100x better than Horford.

How do you even take yourself seriously??

If you listen to his Dad he's been played out of position his whole career.

I think they could've made it work with Horford. I just think Noah (if healthy and back to the player he was a couple years ago) is a more natural fit.

Nope. End of speculation.

i liked horford here before the rose and noah deal. (in fact i wanted evan turner and horford before the noah and rose deals.) horford would be odd man out on this squad. i think he'll see the ball a bit more in boston
meloanyk @ 7/3/2016 6:48 PM
Horford may be the better player today but Id rather have Noah or Lopez at teir pricetags. All about fit and price and employment of $ difference
nixluva @ 7/4/2016 12:22 AM
Having Noah and Lee is a clear win for this team over just Horford. It's that simple! Phil has done a decent job of putting together a solid starting five. If he can solve the backup PG spot without losing DWill, LT and Gallo that will be huge.
