The best post of the thread. Cant blame a guy for wanting to win
I don't get why people aren't allowed to dislike KD's decision...
Can anyone post which players the Warriors will have toto waive/trade to make this happen? Any one we should nab?
I'm a little disappointed in KD, but not shocked or outraged or anything.
Guy gets to play for a few rings now.
I will not be rooting for the Warriors though.
Man, how much different would the landscape of the NBA be if Klay Thompson hadn't gone off for 42pts in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals? OKC would've won the series, maybe won the Finals against Lebron..? Now OKC is basically in full rebuild mode. Wouldn't be surprised if they look to trade Russ before losing him for nothing.

They're reporting that Barnes,Bogut,Speights, are gone.

disliking the decision is fine but some are wishing him injuries and calling him a piece of shit and stuff. Im not saying you have to like it but he didnt do anything terrible

I think if they renounce Barnes and trade Bogut they have the space. Not sure if they can hold onto Barbosa either.
I would take Barbosa here - he's still got some juice. Would want another PG though - Barbosa should be an energy scorer off the bench, not your main backup PG.

Any vets nearing 40 without a ring who might want to latch on?

seriously?
I think so. The guy is always tough on the press but he seemed to live in a bubble. The gloves are off now. LeBron got killed for it and he left Cleveland. Cleveland got the #1 pick the first year after Lebron. They went from 61 wins to 19. I think OKC makes the playoffs next year.
Not wishing injury just referring to hate.
he wished he would get injured which is messed up. All the guy did was make a decision that was best for him
Sorry I didn't mean it I was just hate writing I don't hope for injury ... Best decision for Durant = worst decision for the rest of the nba... I hope he gets bood like crazy in every away arena, they're burning jerseys in okc !!

Old KD comes right back at you...

six years of futility and going into his prime changed his perspective. big difference between 20 years old and 27. idealism meets reality and leads to pragmatism, perhaps?
futility? lol. durant straight choked vs. gsw in 6 and 7. if he didn't they beat them.
Rose and our 2017 #1 pick for Westbrook

1 guy said that but you've been relentlessly trying to correct every other person in the thread that was unhappy with the decision. It is an annoying move. Yes, for him it gives him the best chance to win and get a ring before his prime is up but for us that want the league to be more competitive it's not fun to watch. Same way that when Melo signed back here for that large contract and no trade clause, guys like you were up in arms about how unfair it was but, like you said, he was doing what he thought was best for him which was keeping his son in NY and getting a lot of money in the process.
With that said, I know I'll be tuning in to their first game come October.
Hey, this is why they play the games. The Heatles were supposed to win 6 or 7 in a row. They won 2 out of 4.
Lebron or someone else can now try to rise to the challenge.
Hopefully Russ is interested in building a super team in NYC...?

no problem dude. I understand you were just frustrated. But you cant force players to go somewhere they dont wanna go for. For example if you were a lawyer and you got offered a top position at a top law firm but that meant leaving a place all your close associates worked at, it would be tough to leave but best for your future

This is the part I really don't respect. KD is going be doing some heavy lifting if GSW wins a chip. He'll probably be their second leading scorer - maybe their leading scorer.
Some washed up vet goes to be a 5min per game backup to get a bogus ring? I don't respect that at all.

Players and die hard fans sure but the league is gonna benefit from this big time. It keeps the NBA relevant throughout this long off season and there are going to be more casual and bandwagon fans tuning in to see another super team.
This is worse then Lebron going to the heat .

Maybe he choked intentionally because he did not want to beat his future teammates!
You are correct though.
