I doubt westbrook comes here unless we trade a lot for him. I think he stays in OKC or goes to LA

This is a starphuck I can get behind fully.

It's my dream! My favorite player in the nba!
CrushAlot@ 7/4/2016 12:46 PM
That would be awesome. Right now I am hoping they can get Tim Frazier.

My worry is that the Celtics will now do a trade for westbrook

Lakers could make a solid offer, too. Though the Lakers are a hot mess.
Boston with Horford? Westbrook has to at least think about that.
I hope he hits FA, because I could really see him coming to NYC.
GustavBahler@ 7/4/2016 1:03 PM
I agree that should be job one next season, showing this team can contend with Westbrook on the roster. That would be the biggest get in franchise history. KP would have the most dangerous PG in the league in his prime, as his wingman.

He will (be a free agent I mean).
If he is traded any extension his new team offers him will be in 2016-17 max money. ALL the top guys are making sure they can be free agents for 2017-2018 money next year.
Westbrook isn't signing an extension now.
Whether he's a Thunder, a Laker, a Celtic or whatever, he'll be a UFA next year.
Which makes trading for him now problematic.

That doesn't mean he'll stay with them though

I don't think anyone would give up a big package for Russ without assurances he would re-up with that new team. Will be interesting to see if Russ is willing to do that or says he will go to FA no matter what. He has some leverage regarding a potential trade.
StarksEwing1@ 7/4/2016 1:42 PM
It would be a real coup to land westbrook but its so hard to predict especially with the cap going up. If we have a real good year i think our chances increase
RonRon@ 7/4/2016 1:43 PM
For 2017 Summer Should we prepare ourselves to have the financial flexibility to target 2 MAX talents with next years FA?
Westbrook/Curry Durant Lebron *I know SUPER UNLIKELY with many on this roster*
CP3/Lowery Blake Griffen
Giannes RFA *another UNLIKELY but hope he signs a 4year deal with a player option after year 3, would like to develop Thanasis for the reasoning that he can develop just as Ariza developed over time and around some VETS*
===========
possibly Wade
Teague
Millsap
Gordan Hayword
Rudy Gay, I wonder how much he will be making he signed a 3year 12m per year extension and will be a UFA next summer because of his player option I am not saying he is WORTHY OF A HIS MAX but as a poor mans Durant he could be a solid addition, depending on what he would cost with his market
Gallanari (player option)
NOT max player but solid player
Darren Collison/Shelvin Mack Livingston
Iggy
MCW RFA Tony Allen/PJ Tucker
Shabazz RFA
Taj Gibson
lets not
EnySpree@ 7/4/2016 1:45 PM

Scary thought. The Celtics have a lot to offer. If Westbrook is going to leave that would be a good team to deal with.

Yeah, he loves the fashion. The Knicks could clear up,a little more space to sign his little buddy Payne too. He's gotta be a priority for next year.

As long as he doesn't sign a new contract with them then i don't really care but they would be a top team in the east with A.Horford, Westbrook at the SG spot and I.Thomas at PG but Isaiah might have to be in the trade.
