Doesn't include an offer to Hernangomez, but maybe they can fit that into the $1.9M of cap room. Then we can still go over the cap to re-sign Langston and Lance (Who has already agreed to re-sign)

We have a GOOD squad. God imagine a healthy squad come playoffs.. KP/Noah patrolling the paint, Rose/Melo creating and devastating.

Im feeling pretty good about this roster in year 3 here for Phil

It seems like a total philosophy change, but I'm completely on board with it. IF they're healthy, maybe lightning in a bottle? If not? We get a solid draft pick in 2017 and aren't tied to Rose or Jennings.

Will be important to keep the starters from getting too taxed, a good bench can get that done. Still worried about year 3 on this course, but not to the point that I cant enjoy the Knicks representing again.

I don't get it. Didn't we already offer contracts to Baker and Plumlee? Why aren't those include?

Partial guarantees only... I think... I'm not sure how it works...

Thats my take. 1/9 from 3 makes Baker less guaranteed, IMO.

so we no longer have the ability to resign Derrick William and the 20% raise from his 5m deal?

No - we renounced him. I don't think we can bring him back unless we create room by moving KOQ.

RonRon @ 7/5/2016 12:11 AM
only player I think I would rather have than Jennings is Ish Smith at 3year 18m because of the health/youth and having a 3year contract friendly deal but this may be also because we want the financial flexibility for our upcoming years

We do not have any OVERPAID talent that are NON TRADEABLE assets (assuming they do not get hurt with us)
Players like Noah, Lee, Jennings, Lance Thomas should all be tradeable if we choose do this year or down the road...
Well, we have to wait and see on Noah....

Thanks for the response, crazydps

same for Seraphin and the rest I suppose?

So 1.9m + room exemption?

no MLE for sure right?

Yeah, no MLE because we're under the cap when FA starts.

We do have ~$2M in room, the room exception of $2.9M, AND we still have the ability to offer Galloway a contract up to $6M a year the same way we did for Lance, even though we rescinded his QO. So, I think we're in solid shape.

baker and plumlee are training camp invitees-guarantees. if they get past camp, then there are other cliffs before fully guaranteed as of March 1st, 2017 or something.

Because they are only being offered minimal deals, which you can always offer regardless of your cap status.

They are cap neutral.

Good news on the gallo front. They still could avoided this by sitting him a game or two during the season to keep the ability to match.

I doubt Gallo gets an offer over $5m but who really knows.
