Seems like that's his role he will play. Might not see a lot of time but he is that athletic combo forward who will be insurance for Melo and Lance.
Yeah, I could see him filling the lane on fast breaks with Rose and Jennings. Seems like he improved his 3pt shot a little last year too.
Every Knick fan must have thought the same thing! Are they in a league that doesn't allow the jump shot? Even his dime was for a dunk- I like the move though!
ActionJackson@ 7/5/2016 6:48 PM
At the risk of comparing him to another white player and pissing people off, but do any of you old heads who watched B-Ball in the 80s see the Tom Chambers comparison??? Leaping off of both feet to throw down nasty two-handed tomahawk slams
And of course I hate that his most infamous dunk came at the expense of my main man Mark "Action" Jackson

Just heard it and you beat me to the comment.
Would be nice if true.
Phil keeps surprising us with moves none of us predicted, or entertained. I never heard one thing about this kid, but definitely seems like a solid comparrison
Another Clarence Gaines Jr. find? Man. He is really earning his money.
Kevin Wilson, he is the Knicks guy in Spain.
Either way, our international scouts are rock stars.
I'm in Spain and you're right about Kevin and me.

Hope not, because the Knicks won't be.
That sucks. I thought Knicks were participating in both leagues?
They were going to and then backed out of Vegas. I like the Vegas league a lot better. It has been hard to watch the team they have in Orlando this summer.
They played good against the Clippers today.

Martin's article seems to indicate that he has improved his shot significantly.
Vertically, he looks like an NBA athlete, no doubt. Does sound like he is so-so on D, similar to Williams, who he has replaced.
I like the idea that he does not force things, and that the Celtics were interested in him.
Hope he gets some burn and comes through.

Long time lurker Knicks fan since the age of 10, and I am 35 now so I have suffered a lot due to this team. But anyway back on topic a lot of questions regarding his shot (not saying he is the next coming of Curry)but here is a video of him going 4/4 from 3

I don't see the comparison. Chambers was nasty! That dunk on the whole Celtic squad (minus DJ) reminds me of the Dominique vs the Bucks dunk over Lanier.

and i wonder if he can defend the position at the nba level? otherwise he is pretty useless.
Yeah...this will determine how much time he gets on the court...sounds like he has some limitations.
Lets hope we did our due diligence scouting him.
DWill had his limitations too but I think it's asking a lot to expect him to give us what DWill gave us last year right out the box. Then again, he is 26 so maybe he's ready. Seems like he's worth taking a chance on.

Man Phil and his staff have done some serious work. This is something they talked about possibly doing and it looks like they got a nice player. It's gonna be interesting to see how he does.

Hopefully the naysayers can calm down a little bit. We brought in a couple of risky vets (Rose and Noah) but also brough in a solid "you know what you're getting" vet who fits a need very well (Lee), a relatively young starter-level back up point guard who in the worse case scenario can fill in for Rose if he gets hurt and best case scenario can give us instant offense off the bench (Jennings). We signed some young legs to satisfy the folks complaining about acquiring players over 30 (Willy and Kuzminkas), resigned solid bench vet Lance Thomas who played well for us last year and we may be able to resign Galloway. Hopefully KP will continue to get better and Melo didn't have to spend the offseason rehabbing an injury. Not to mention we kicked Calderon to the curb. The only negative is we couldn't resign DWill.
Now that the dust is settling, I don't see much room to complain.
WaltLongmire@ 7/5/2016 9:26 PM
Just a thought...
If you do an arena announcer's version of
Kuzzzzminnnkas and compare it to Porrrzinggas
its going to sound similar.
I just hope that our court announcer is up to the challenge and comes up with a distinctive sound for Kuzminkas.
Quite a challenge for the poor guy.

Those were the first 4 scoring plays of the game for them. Wonder how he ended the day, what percentage?

This is the best roster makeover we've had in a very long time. There's competency up and down the roster. They've filled all the holes and still have some room for more. Boatloads of upside. What's not to like???
