Knicks are scouting the Spanish league really well these days. We have three recent Spanish league guys on the roster in KP, Hernangomez, and Kuzminkas.
It's almost reminiscent of how the Spurs operate.

cheap quality labor when everyone is overpaying! How/why more teams don't heavily scout EU for role players is beyond me. Ryan Anderson gets $20mm for basically playing Euroball

First off, Im happy, but im not broadcasting success until paper turns to reality. Not to piss on anyone's cornflakes. But, there are guys that need more seasoning and fill out physically. True for American players who go abroad as well. Two things, we want to love this kid so we will, until he is a bum. Then we'll blast him, his girl, and the whole country of Lithuania. After we BLAME Phil. For weeks, we blast phil for sleeping on the job, now he is unearthing the unobvious and operating at levels not seen in NY!!
IM rooting hard for all this to pan out. Do a google on this kid and besides his girl that jumps off the page, this kid smiles a lot. Don't know a thing about the kid, but he looks like he is enjoying being a basketball player. DOn't know if he took a pay cut to buy his contract out or what he could have been his salary in his market, but he adds interest and hopefully contributes greatly!!!

I have been thinking a lot about the bolded. The NY media is ridiculous. Some of the stuff showing up in print and online was just attacking the guy. You have to have a filter for that stuff. Kudos to Phil and his staff for getting the work done.

That's why I say we need to fucking stick together. The media is not our friends and they do not have our best intrest in mind. They just want to slander our team. Don't feed into that

Living there about 2/3rds of the time- outside of Barcelona- Quite Nice! Tough to watch NBA with the time change but I still find a way to waste my time and get my heart broken w the Knicks - sometimes I catch the game in the AM, sometimes I'm crazy and get out of bed at 3am to check in - sometimes I'm really crazy and stay up- but Pretty Ms Buick doesn't roll with that one so much

Read the article last night...interesting take. Clearly Phil wants guys around him who he can trust beyond all doubt.
The fact that we don't get a lot of rumors coming out of the organization tells you that he has had his way to a great extent.

The only rumor that I can recall actually being accurate was the Rose trade. But that may have been leaked by the Bulls.

Isn't it something now that almost every signing has someone pointing out how expedient and cost-conscious Phil is? LThomas giving a deep home town discount and signing for shit in a climate that's handing out $40 million to doorstops. Rose and Jennings on one year deals. 4 year deals to Noah and others that can go the way of Rolo if things go south.
Whatdya know, maybe all those rings actually equate to knowing something about how to run a team?
