Eh, that's a shame.
Gallo was just too young and free of injuries.

$1.1M?
One thing Hornacek has proved as a coach is that he understands the guard position. So chances are, if Hornacek thought there was any more there, he'd still be a Knick.
I think Phil and Hornacek may see what Randle and Baker are providing in Summer League and think one of them can provide what Langston did.
I would've liked to have Galloway back though.
Actually a perfect place for him to land...
He was born in Baton Rouge, LA.
He's really going home.
nooooooooooooo... we won't replace him with a better player. hopefully this means DWill is coming back. But I would have thought Langston would've been a better fit for this roster. can't teach size i guess

DWill is gone. There's no room for him. We had Galloway's Early Bird rights, but nothing like that for DWill.
I think Mindy is the new DWill on the roster and Randle and Baker will get a shot to be the new Galloway.

I think they're hoping that Baker will be the new Galloway.

Yeah, that's a nice cop out but there is always ways to create cap space. Gallo at the money NY was capable of paying him is a good trade chip to have.

Yeah we probably could of traded him for J.Calderon or some other trash....damn it what will we do now?? Wah Wah Wah
Wish him well, respected his effort. He was not worth trying to fit in at the expense of losing the pieces we got and risking next summer's cap space.
From what little I've seen of Chasson Randle, I think he's a more natural PG prospect. And Baker a more natural SG prospect. I liked Langston a lot. Glad he got to play close to home. Hope he gets to cash in.
Do the Pelicans still have Toney Douglas??

Liked Gallo but this is not necessarily a big loss. The Knicks are the ones with the real cap numbers so speculating that they could do this or that is hard to verify. Just look at the way Phil and his staff have done things and it's hard to say they aren't capable of counting. They did a pretty good job using their cap and keeping flexibility.
We (including myself) are all overlooking Holiday, by the way. Good size...good defender...decent shooter.
He might be a sleeper for us this season.
