Maybe the Nets just offered him more $$ than the Knicks and other teams could pay him?

David Lee, if willing to take a vets minimum like Sasha, would be a decent addition.
We could really use a big who has some defensive abilities, though.
He's old but can still play some. Would have fit a need here but.. hopefully we can find a younger piece that does the same. Guess Nets signed him to fill some time until their next attempts to sign young talent. Think their attempts to get Johnson and Crabbe made sense, signing players to longer terms that offer less upsides doesnt
