Hopefully he turns into the Knicks DeMarre Carrol.

That's a pretty good comparison. Wish I thought of it myself haha

I see him much more as a Battier type.

If he is that guy that would be awesome. Duke reference?

Unfortunately Lance is neither a Battier or Carrol type because he doesn't rebound or steal the ball enough. He plays good defense but he has to be counted on to help finish a defensive possession by turning the ball over or grabbing a rebound. His rebound numbers are 2 guard level. He seem to do well defending Sgs last year, judging by the eye test, so maybe that would be a good spot for him to play.

he was just discovered and he played on a bad team. His upside looks good and his defense at the end of games was phenomenal. He also seems like a stand up guy.

Yeah Lance is on an upward trajectory. Late Bloomer but he's in that Battier or Carroll style of player. He doesn't have to match them perfectly to be a very similar player at a lower cost. Always when comparing a lower player to a higher player you have to understand that no one is suggesting they're EXACTLY as good. Just suggesting some similarities. I hope Lance continues to improve his overall game.

I'm not sure why his rebounding numbers are low. Could be the team he plays on has strong rebounders or maybe he's often on the perimeter defending and not as focused on looking to rebound the ball. I'd have to watch some game video and try to watch Lance and see if I can notice anything. The Steals thing is hard to really criticize Lance on. Not everyone has the hands to be a good thief.
