I wasn't really high on this guy anyway, he has a long way to go

really hard to stick in the NBA if you shoot poorly.
Knixkik @ 8/8/2016 3:20 PM
He lacked any real NBA skill, so not surprising.

he was a huge gamble but i think he still needs to work on his game but kudos to him for ditching bigger contracts last year to try to make it with knicks whilst playing for dleague

I liked him a lot. What he brought goes beyond the mediocre numbers he was putting up in the DL imho.. To me, I saw how he could've fit -- as a 6'6"+ 210 lb. wing with great athleticism, he had the transition game, played D, had a decent jumper with good form that should only get better from here on in, he puts it on the floor and gets to the bucket well, he would've excited the crowd and would've been an excellent defender to put on a LeBron, a Paul George, etc.. That would've been enough for me for now.. Tough guy to lose after seeing him develop for a couple of years. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he chose to play for Westchester last year when he had offers on the table to go play in Europe. Wasn't gonna do that for a 2nd year in a row I'm sure and I wouldn't blame him. Who knows if we even had any interest..I felt he was making good progress (albeit slow--probably too slow for the Knicks) and would've been a good role player here. I know I'm in the minority but I would've much rather have had him on the roster over Sasha Vujacic. He hasn't reached his ceiling yet imo--maybe he's someone we revisit next year.

He played two years in Westchester. The first year was just for dleague money so the Knicks could retain his rights. I believe his lack of progress that first year was part of the reason that Hodges and the other coach were let go. Last year he got paid the guaranteed part of his contract and made some money on a call up. He definitely put in his time. Schlosser (sny) mentioned today that he wished the Knicks had signed Atkins this offseason and mentioned that in some ways he was more deserving of a contract than NDour.

He's not good, he could have signed with any team in the league. He cant shoot, and in this er, thats more important then defense unless your a well above average defender

yellowboy90 @ 8/8/2016 11:48 PM
I'd still sign him next year on a long term deal if Giannis wanted out of Milwaukee. Then i'd draft the little brother out of Dayton regardless of how he plays.
