Knicks · Where the heck is Hillary Clinton? (page 73)

i was duped i guess when i paid my quarterly taxes paying double as a self employed job creator. should have declared bankruptcy and stiffed some people i guess.

He started off very well--if he said nothing after the first 30 minutes he wouldve been better off. Just watch the replay the last hour were baited topics that were no material 15 minutes on taxes 15 minutes on Iran the only substance in the entire debate wa the first 30--just go back and check the tape. The people I was watching with were laughing. If you are into no material events than Hillary won the 2nd half of that debate--if you like substance and did not care about non material events--then Trump did. He had her dead to rights and took his foot off her throat and was put on defense by non material topics. Birther taxes women are pigs etc..
BRIGGS please explain how Trump won the first 30 minutes. He did not articulate any clear solutions. The only thing I heard him say is he is going to cut taxes and regulations for corporations. He criticizes every trade agreements but I am at a loss as to what he is going to do differently other than "I will get a better deal." He openly admitted that he pays no taxes. Trump sounds good but when you really listen to him talk there is no substantive solutions. It is just Obama this and Obama that. The country is in far better condition economically than eight years ago, but if you listen to Trump the economy has never been worse in the history of US. The guy is a con man, and he is proud of that fact and he is now trying to pull off his biggest con.
This was certainly one of the underlying elements that kept playing in my head during this first debate. The other is how easily Hillary completely changes her previous stance and panders. How smug she is about it and lastly how ridiculously biased Holt was in favor of Hillary with Anderson Cooper looming. You have to be blind and death not to notice that.
I am hopeful and confident Trump has surrounded himself with qualified people. He isn't perfect but I still trust his intentions over Hillary and co. 7 days a week and twice on sunday

The polls tell the tale. If you believe that birthersim someone's personal taxes calling Rosie Odonell a pig in 2003 are important subjects--yep he took some rope a dope and was dumb to play into it. But if you watched the first 30 minutes wher there was substance--he killed her. His problem is he had ammunition to throw a knockout and then you have some people who believe some rope a dope won the fight but it was hitting gloves. Trumps biggest problem--he couldve knocked her out and did not then was somewhat lazy where he couldve attacked. People dont care anyway--this thing is over.

How does the middle class benefit by people like Trump lining their pockets with more money?
i'm sure we have some self employed folks here.
trump makes me feel like i'm a chump for paying taxes.
i don't understand how this endears him to the working man and middle class.
But the audacity of admitting he was smart for not paying taxes in the face of massive decifits
Ultimate problem for him here is that he can only come up with an acceptable sounding lie for not releasing his taxes...he has no excuse.
The ultimate ultimate problems is that his continued refusal to release them indicates there are things on them that will make the situation worse for him than if he just doesn't release them.
No way out for him on this issue.
Err... ISIS' forerunner Al Qaeda in Iraq was formed under W's watch... or her husband's in 1999, at very earliest.
I'm pretty sure it wasn't around 50 years ago but what do I know.
He ain't releasing his tax returns. He's pegging it to Clinton releasing her emails.

It doesn't. It only endears him to people who have already gobbled up the trickle down BS hook, line and sinker and can't or won't pull their head out of their rear ends. The entire basis of Trump's economic theory is cutting out black and Latino frreloaders. Once you get a bunch of people predisposed towards blaming others for their own shortcomings in life and you wave the bait of some racial or ethnic group in front of these people as the collective "they" that are responsible for all their troubles, the rest is easy sailing. The right wing has systematically exploited this human behavior with great success.

BRIGGS you really are a Trump follower. All flash no substance and full of conclusory statements. What did he "kill her" on? Blaming her for an Iraq pull-out that was negotiated by Bush. It is real easy with hindsight to say we should have done this or that, but I have yet to hear him actually offer any tangible solutions to any of the problems he complains about. Cutting taxes for the rich is not going to work. Building a wall across the southern border? How are we going to pay for that if he cuts taxes. He offers no solutions on the issue of race relations, except we have to have "law and order," which seemed to me to be we need to maintain the status quo and start having police stop and frisk african-americans and latinos in poor neighborhoods, which I do not agree with. "I will negotiate a better deal" is not a policy plan. Trump has no idea how complicated treaties between countries actual are. To all the ignorant people in the country who share his lack on knowledge, he sounds good, but to people who actually understand the complexities of our society, economics, and foreign policy, it is clear this guy is going to be dangerous and totally screw us up. The only people who will be helped by a Trump presidency are rich people like Trump, who will be allowed to screw over the poor and middle class without regulation and with a nice fat tax cut. It will be Bush III, only we do not have as strong an economy as we had when Bush II took over, so I would predict the next financial crisis will occur by 2018 if Trump gets elected.

I was actually trying to spur conversation about a very serious topic in the backdrop of the presidential debate..I'm not sure how you deduce I'm a proponent of nuclear war..Like it or not these issues are real and current..The next president will have to manage the Cold War and our relationship with Russia..I don't think the candidate mentioning Rosie O'Donnell at a presidential debate is qualified to manage our nuclear arsenal...Getting America back on track??.We are still the most dynamic economy on the planet and our growth numbers 1.5/2% is largely due to global growth than our economy..
If you are really a patriot of the United States..Cleary he is unqualified..How do you put party politics ahead of the good of the country and talk about getting the country on track??..Trump is dangerously naive and unprepared...If he doesn't care enough to prepare for a debate why would he do the necessary study of material needed to run this country after becoming president..He is a narcissist..
He mocked the debate preparation process by saying he was at the Westchester Country Club eating cheeseburgers..Do we understand what's at stake here?

Its pretty simple. A poll shows who people favored in the debate and it was also show who wins the Presidents spot. Its as simple as that. Everything else is jibber.
LOL. Are these online polls where anyone can click who they think won 25 times? Real scientific!
She was good at counter punching taxes birtheriscm etc.. a loaded question is easy to debate. Thats why if you were really watching the debate--it was unbalanced and that was noticeable. Two thing Trump did poorly--he had her down and just couldve stayed on point by simply saying thats irrelevant IOm here for jobs security etc.. every time he got a loaded question and then he never went at her with immigration obamacare benghazzi etc or even worse subjects like being an enabler(once it got personal) and lastly he tried to call her out on stamina when it was him who went to the water many times not her. She stayed composed and looked much better than last week physically. But on acvtual talking points that mattered which were really only the first 30 minutes--I mean watch it again.
