They did violate the woman. That's not in question. She was down with the violations for years. Now she's not getting the benefits she's was getting so she wants money. That's what this is. Rose and his peeps probably cut her off. That's why these charges were filed so late. If Rose was still giving this last all the benefits he was giving her we wouldn't be hearing about this. From the court papers she said her and Rose had a relationship for a couple years. He forced her to have group sex and other things. It was all good while she was getting what she wanted. To me it's typical where shit. If you are going to play these games with these women you need to take care of them. Otherwise you leave yourself open to embarrassment. Again this is a civil case not a criminal case. That says it all

so you agree that the best way to deal with her is to smear her character? because that seems to be what his lawyers are advocating. but what about the alleged drugging of her? doesn't that count for anything?

Judge and jury don't have arguments. while you are entitled to your opinion but to arrogantly say "We may or may not have full detail yet" is a true understatement.
You don't have any substantial material, detail, facts, time lines, etc cuz it has not started.
None.

All we know is there is enough evidence in question to warrant a civil trail so says the judge.
seems like plaintiff is using threat that this going public to make a money grab of some sorts.
Its possible they tried to negotiate a settlement, we just don't know.
Rose and his attorney's must be pretty confident. A lot of money in on the line here. His endorsements all morality clauses (pretty standard stuff) so one would assume based on "confidence" Rose has an opinion that he'll be ok thru this.

But that's not what I said if you read carefully (the very quote you've bolded).

but as you know some lawyers are all too happy to tell clients what they want to hear. you have to wonder what the possibilities/probabilities are of that in this case, especially with the wealth of the client. the voir dire will be interesting. how many women will end up on the jury? i think you need 12 jurors in federal civil cases.
Love the Rose get. I would have liked Bobby Portis as part odnthe deal but hey we've moved forward. My concern is the rape allegations. In New York, with the media circus circus it can be, it could become a major distraction. Just ask Kobe. This, along with the injuries and Melo slowing down, are my primary concern. I would surely monitor his minutes and Melos. Good luck Hornachek.
i am sure Phil Jackson has read through the court papers and had conversation(s) with Rose about it. He'll probably settle, but it'll be like 1 mill (not 20 mill as her suit asks for from what i remember). maybe that'll get it drilled into his head that these issues do come at a price.
Now back to our regular broad cast.....
Yes Rose has plenty left in the tank.....Just have to make sure the wheels on the tank don't fall off......For all the pessimistic fans. For the other fans, having Rose is like having a tank run the point.
