Knicks · Knicks potential for all-stars (page 1)

If the Knicks have a winning season, KP, Melo, Rose and Noah could be all-stars. Emphasis on the if but there aren't many players in the east better than the players we have. You can list them if you want.... but our guys stack up very well against the rest of the east.
StarksEwing1 @ 9/4/2016 8:14 AM
I dont think all of them. KP and melo for sure though

last night i dreamt i was at the garden and kp6 got several of his electrifying putbacks, and in the dream he seemed unstoppable. after the game he was trying to walk to his car and he was head, shoulders, and chest above a sea of fans milling about him. i don't regards dreams as premonitions but i think the knicks may have their first true superstar and genuine franchise player. i have said from day 1 he could be a combo of dirk and kg. just needs to be given an opportunity to make passing plays like kg and get a little more midrange stuff going. his ceiling is exciting to think about.

this season will his teammates lower their usage rates to let this kid be all he can be? will the coach drive this agenda?

Im so excited about KP this year. He basically is our great hope for the future. I admit when he was first drafted i thought he would be a project but im glad i was wrong

Personally I feel KP should focus on being KG dominant on the defensive end. That is something that will work with what we have today as well as help his development. I also feel he should be featured in a package with the 2nd unit.

Noah,KP,Melo,Lee,Rose will start. I think KP and Lee should both sub out early for Holiday and the winner of the backup PF spot say Ndour. Then KP,Lee,Jennings,Thomas and Willie or KOQ should be a packaged together featuring KP and ensures that the bench stays strong. Of course mins will be distributed for KP and Lee to get all the crunch time mins with the other starters.

Noah has racked up 26, 23, 24 ast % with 19, 14, 13 % usage over the last 3 yrs. KP just needs to make the right basketball plays and the ast will be there. May be easier to get them as well if the defense is being broken down and scrambling due to penetration.

+1 i like kp6 getting minutes with the second unit because he will get more touches at the elbows. also since jennings is a leftie there will be more p&r on the left side with kp6.

Rose is such a wild card. Hopefully though he benefits from a full offseason of working out as opposed to rehabbing.

that would be good. However with so many of those type of injuries last a whole season is a tall task

That is why they were able to trade for him. Hopefully being another year removed from knee injuries helps.

Rose has never averaged less than 15.9 points per game and 4.3 assists per game even after several season ending injuries. So you can be sure he's going to average close to that. Kill the heart broken teenager routine.

I can't WAIT for these doubters to see Rose in action up close and have to realize how much better he is than they give him credit for. He's been on the increase in terms of games played. He's getting healthier and not weaker. There are no guarantees in terms of health in pro sports. Everyone is a play away. That's why I don't focus on that.

I believe Rose, Melo and KP stand a very good chance of making the All Star team. They can help elevate each other.

heart broken teenager routine? What are you twelve. If you read my recent posts i said MANY TIMES that Rose is a upgrade and will help as long as he is healthy

nix its not about being proven right its about the knicks winning...thats the most important thing. Once again i dont doubt roses basketball ability(ive followed him since simeon). My only concern is his ability to stay healthy and i think its a very fair question

That's why I stated Rose has been getting stronger. He's played more games each season since his surgery. What they want is to have Rose healthy for the post season. It's going to be very interesting to see how they handle Rose, Noah, Melo and Jennings.

Yeah they need to be monitored to keep them fresh. I'm not too worried about Jennings since he is coming off the bench

Health is one thing but there's no doubt that if he plays 25 games 65 games or 82 games Hes going to give the Knicks above average production evey night he's available. You can't call injuries. I know the possibility is great for him getting hurt but I'm not going to keep dwelling on it. Alot of fans have brought this bad fortune on this franchise with the doom and gloom. There's no other way to explain it when everything that could go wrong always does.... 2016 let's break the chain

Hes playing basketball. He's had physical injuries. He's not a heart attack risk. 30 minutes a game is starters minutes. That's what he should get. Jennings will get all of the backup Poitier guard minutes plus he will play with Rose at times. Bowchikawahwah

IMO teams win mostly with their top 7 rotation players! I like the Knicks top 7 and the bench may be young but there's some good talent on this bench. They should be able to hold it down just enough to make the minutes work.

Hornacek said he plans to mix in players off the bench rather than go with a platoon system. I agree with that approach so that you keep some of your top players on the floor all game. This is better than bringing in a complete group of lesser players and hoping they can hold a lead or not.
