Click here to view the TweetRose has never averaged less than 15.9 points per game and 4.3 assists per game even after several season ending injuries. So you can be sure he's going to average close to that. Kill the heart broken teenager routine.
I can't WAIT for these doubters to see Rose in action up close and have to realize how much better he is than they give him credit for. He's been on the increase in terms of games played. He's getting healthier and not weaker. There are no guarantees in terms of health in pro sports. Everyone is a play away. That's why I don't focus on that.
I believe Rose, Melo and KP stand a very good chance of making the All Star team. They can help elevate each other.
That's why I stated Rose has been getting stronger. He's played more games each season since his surgery. What they want is to have Rose healthy for the post season. It's going to be very interesting to see how they handle Rose, Noah, Melo and Jennings.
Hes playing basketball. He's had physical injuries. He's not a heart attack risk. 30 minutes a game is starters minutes. That's what he should get. Jennings will get all of the backup Poitier guard minutes plus he will play with Rose at times. Bowchikawahwah
IMO teams win mostly with their top 7 rotation players! I like the Knicks top 7 and the bench may be young but there's some good talent on this bench. They should be able to hold it down just enough to make the minutes work.
Hornacek said he plans to mix in players off the bench rather than go with a platoon system. I agree with that approach so that you keep some of your top players on the floor all game. This is better than bringing in a complete group of lesser players and hoping they can hold a lead or not.

. It was actually a way to make sure Rose was fresh and wouldnt have to push too hard so he would be available throughout the whole year
That's why Brandon Jennings is here. Why would they sign the guy and then play Rose 48 minutes a game? All bases are covered

Sounds good... then you should paint that picture in your posts. Thinking negative and posting negative even when you positive is the problem. This team has bad karma because of us. We have plenty to cheer about for next season yet every single thread is filled with doom and gloom. Posters are actually crying about their right to be objective. It's not being objective guys are constantly dropping subliminal jokes. It's not funny. It just shows what kind of fan you are. How are you in life? Yeah I got a promotion but I'm just going to spend the extra money on beer anyway.... haha but making jokes like that all the time subliminally destroy your life. Yeah she's good looking but she's not into a guy like me. I can go on. Change your mind change your life. It works for all aspects of life. Back to basketball, if everyone keeps saying Noah and Rose are going to be hurt ask year then they will be hurt all year. If everyone keeps saying the Knicks will have a great year then the Knicks will have a great year. It's not like we have a team with Weatherspoon, Shandon Anderson and Howard Eisley starting... we have legit reasons to be excited. Dare to be positive you rat bastards!
EnySpree wrote:Again I think you are overreacting with the negativity claims. yes I admit certain posters do have a doom and gloom attitude but not as much as you make it seem. Anyway I think we will take a step forward this year. I agree we are improved and I like some of the pieces we added but we still have a bit to go until we can match up with anyone

I actually disagree. I think this team matches up well with most every team in the NBA. They should be very competitive. Up until injuries hit last year the team was competitive. IMO this team is much better than last year's team.
When you add quality vets to your team it's not the same as adding young talent or lesser players as we have in the recent past. These players have a very clear understanding of their roles and the style of ball Hornacek will run fits their skills. I think a good example of what I'm saying is how the 54 win team came together with all those vets.
If they play to their strengths (run offense through the front court since all 3 bigs are decent passers), then Melo and KP will be the lone Knick nominee favorites to make the team. If ego and selfishness take over, only Melo makes it, since no way Rose will overtake Kyrie, Isaiah, John, Kyle, Reggie, or Kemba in the east.
Noah has no shot in hell to make it. Drummond will be a shoo in, possibly Horford, and then since they went with 2 F positions, whomever is the popular vote is.
mreinman wrote:how close was KP to making the all star team last year?
Carmelo Anthony have received only 360 more votes than Pau Gasol for the last starting spot on the East.http://www.nba-allstar.com/ballot/
Kristaps Porzingis is the only rookie in the Top 50 vote getters.
