He did surprise everybody last season, can he do it again this season ? :)

I think the projections are at least assuming KP will be a solid starter and they're coming out with 35 to 38 wins. I don't think superstar vs. solid starter means 15 wins unless you mean Lebron James level superstar.

I think that prediction is taking health into account and they would agree that if these big injury risks stay healthy that prediction would not be correct.

2016-17 NBA Regular-Season Win TotalsThe over/under benchmark for regular-season wins for each NBA team for the 2016-17 season,
as determined by the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas:
Golden St. 66.5
Cleveland 56.5
San Antonio 56.5
LA Clippers 53.5
Boston 51.5
Toronto 49.5
Utah 47.5
Portland 46.5
Detroit 45.5
Okla. City 45.5
Atlanta 43.5
Indiana 43.5
Memphis 43.5
Washington 42.5
Houston 41.5
Minnesota 41.5
Charlotte 39.5
Dallas 39.5
Milwaukee 39.5
Chicago 38.5
New York 38.5
Miami 36.5
New Orleans 36.5
Orlando 36.5
Denver 34.5
Sacramento 32.5
Philadelphia 27.5
Phoenix 26.5
LA Lakers 24.5
Brooklyn 20.5
The Utah # (47.5) looks awfully high to me and I thought I saw that at 48.5 on another Vegas site. They won 40 last year I believe -- added G-Hill / J-Johnson but +8 wins is a big jump to make. And giving them more wins than Portland also seems odd to me.
We are all thinking about injury risks to Melo, Rose and Noah but god forbid we can't keep KP healthy for a full season because he impacts the game so much defensively.
No more OVER bets at 38.5 (!)
Vegas just bumped it up to 39.5 . . .
will be 42.5 the day before the season starts

van Gundy said Knicks will have 50 wins if all good

sounds fair. I had 42 as a prediction. If everyone stays healthy i think the could get near 50 but a lot of things needs to go right
Interested to see what happens in Vegas after a month of camp and preseason, should nobody get hurt, no other off court distractions and DRose is even hungrier from court costs.

I was thinking that the Khris Middleton injury probably had something to do with this - did they drop Milwaukee?

terrible break for them... imagine hearing that Melo or KP was down for 6 mos. Ouch. Heal up Kris... your a hell of a player.

Yeah, he's one of my favorites. Sucks. Hope he can come back soon and fully healthy.
I guess Vegas also could've moved the Knicks line because everyone was betting heavy on the over.
