Anytime I think of Long Island--it's like the story of what wouldve been. I was 9 years old and my dad was in the process of buying a home in LI--literally we were like 2 weeks away from closing on a home. My dad owned a few of those Chock full of Nuts places--he went into work and at 31 dies of a massive heart attack. We dont live in LI---my Mom does not get along with his parents where we lived in Brooklyn and bang I move to Ct. True life story. My brother and I did end up inheriting the house we lived in on Minna Street in Brooklyn years later but I never lived there again--its just a rental.
