Knicks · Wow..this has to be a very good sign (page 1)

Every Player on the roster finish the first week of camp injury free. I have been following the knick religiously every since I joined this site and I can't recall this ever happening, and to think there was more concern about that, than any training camp in 15 yrs.

If this team can stay healthy, the league better lookout...and that goes for GSW, and the Cavs..

Noah say out practice with a sore hammy... just sayin

I hear you though.. cant wait to see how they look tomorrow

knicks1248 @ 10/3/2016 4:27 PM
damn , just saw that, I hate hammy issues, because they can last a day, and as long as 3 wks, and if you come back to soon, it can linger for up to 6 wks..

If he plays tomorrow that's a good sign.

Even if this team does stay healthy which would be unexpected I wouldn't put us close to GSW or the Cavs yet. Healthy I think 45 wins is a realistic total and possibly 48-50 if all things go right

I think if Lebron got hurt the Cav's are not elite.
GSW run was predicated on some very good health of its players. That is just a fact ALL winning teams have benefited from.
When Bogut went down and Steph wore down, the Warriors lost to a healthy Cav's team. Likewise, Last year when Kyrie was lost in game one of the finals, and love earlier in the playoffs the Warriors, who themselves benefited from a playoff run where they stayed healthy and yet Tony Parker, and Chris Paul got hurt out west, were able to win the Chip.

My take is knicks if fortuitously have a healthy starting 5 might be elite!!! But, that is never absolute and our bench is unproven at that level. Given the age and histories of our players its logical to put a cap on wins. This team could win the east on paper, but paper don't play.

We are way too new and untried as a team to compete immediately with LeCavs and GeeStephsWonderful.
I still think if Noah and Rose stay relatively healthy we beat the sheehit out of most of the East. Just on defense alone.

Boo! d7fth! Go ahead! Start the JoseC was better at D than Rose the filthy convict conversation again!

I tend to agree. If each player performs exactly the same as last year, we are nothing special. If each player performs to their career best, this team is a real contender (that still needs a little more bench help). I tend to think each player on the team will perform better than they did last year, but Courtney Lee and KrisP are the only players I think will possibly have career bests. KP cause he keeps getting better. Lee because I think Hornecek's offense will highlight the things he does well.

That said, Derrick Rose could certainly be a contender for most improved player simply by regression to the mean.

the bench maybe rookies to the nba, but they have certainly being play fundamental basket ball way longer than these college aau kids..so unproven is a stretch, but we'll see
