She said "nice, whats the big deal".
I said he is Seven pouching foot three!
I have never seen a kid this size do shyt like he is doing.
Towns and The Unibrow are special and will be for years. GodZingis might change everything.
Im not saying he will, but this is different. He is 20. I pray for his health.

He's 21, he'll be ok.

Porzingis has value in just being involved in screens or motion out there at the perimeter. Rose, Jennings and Lee will have so much more driving room with bigs that can set great screens and pass like Noah or pull up and shoot like KP.

I wanted the Knicks to either get the #1 pick or the #4 pick because I wanted Towns but wanted no parts of Russell or Okafor. However, I confess I wanted Mudiay and not KP at #4. Thank god only half of my wish can true. And really thank god we didn't pick the guys Stephen A. Smith ranted about: Winslow (though he's doing well) or Stanley Johnson or Willie Cauley-Stein.

Porzingis is the future.

At the very least he has to adjust his position so he is between his man and the ball (am I wrong, here?) but he seems totally preoccupied with watching the interior, and ends up getting beat off the drive when he has to scramble on his close outs and is too out of position to defend against the drive.

I am also extremely annoyed that there he has shown little, if any, offensive activity in the post. Not going to revive all those arguments between old and new school ball, and I know it is only 2 games, but I have seen no indication of him having worked on his interior offensive game, and there seems to be no efforts by teammates to get him the ball on the few occasions he does have position down low.

I agree on these points 100%.

It appears that KP spent much time (perhaps too much) working on his ball handling and stuff like cross-over dribbles into tough 18 foot jump shots. He is not showing any post development or worse a desire to get into the post often. He is cutting off the ball and still trying to hit the boards offensively but he is not demanding the ball down low or even at the elbow enough.

I was really expecting to see a LARGE development jump in his post game because of the flashes he showed last year -- he has to worry less about the flashy dream-shake baloney and simply work on solid Duncan like post game. Also was hoping he would flash his running RH/LH sky hook more.

Last thing I want is KP becoming a perimeter gunner -- that's fine when mixed in with lots of post touches but he becomes more of a 1 trick pony if his game starts becoming too perimeter based.

Like Horny said (he get's it) -- we want to get to the point where we can throw it to him at the elbow and ride him all game long. If KP keeps up with the weak (finesse) moves he's flashing -- we aren't going to be riding him at the elbow any time soon.

I think that's more coaching than anything else..I would like the see Hornacek be more vocal during the games...He needs to remind players their assignments and he needed to get into the refs when Melo was getting hit on 4 consecutive drives with no call...Melo was chatting up the refs extra that could have resulted in a second tech..Coach needs to get more involved...

KP has to see himself on some video...hopefully he is smart enough to learn. His offensive role is more troubling for me, because he is looking more an more like a 6'10" stretch 4.

Anthony is pretty solid/strong...he gets fouled enough to affect the shot, but not enough for the refs to justify (in their minds) a foul call...but it gets pretty ridiculous when you look at the ticky-tack fouls called on certain stars in the league. Refs have been doing this the last few years on Anthony, unfortunately.

Melo just needs to make some damn buckets around the basket for ***** sake. Stop trying to draw fouls, stop flopping around begging for calls and just put the ball in the basket thru contact.

Folks refer to Melo as Mr Bully Ball but it's kind of been proven that when he is played very physical his game falls apart and he loses his composure.

I wanted Okafor or Towns, or Winslow in the draft after a 17 win season.
I would have been HELL-Angry if Phil did not get Lopez last season to work-out with KP, and Noah this season to workout with KP.

I too agree 100% with both post ...
I like the idea of KP having a nice jump shot on the perimeter, but i expect a 7 foot player to develope several moves in the low-post to defend and shoot the majority of his shots from 12 feet within the basket for 55% FG shooting.
