Tell me what you think but I loved that Kristaps pick and pop set up against the Bulls early on, so simple yet so effective to exploit his height and great shot. Rose's passing was also a big step up and hopefully it continues.

His defense is becoming a joke as well. Is this what happens when you play with Carmelo Anthony

His defense on the perimeter was a problem. I guess being 7'3" makes it hard to adjust quickly.
But his defense around the basket is a terror. He really alters shots with his length.

He's playing out of position essentially. He will be defending centers in the future where he should develop into an elite defender.

6.5 REBOUNDS per game FOR A GUY HIS HEIGHT, is retarded.

He is playing away from the basket on both ends of the floor. For this season, his rebound with progress back to the mean, and for long-term, his rebounding will climb as he becomes more of a true center.

I liked his tendency to box out first. By doing so he opened up rebounds for others. That's EXACTLY the sort of play we should want from our franchise player - be effective REGARDLESS of personal stats.

Hard to rebound when you are guarding players in the perimeter. Knick opponents are basically spreading him out with their stretch 4. He is a very good rebounder. He tracks the ball well. Offensive schemes from knick opponents is preventing him from rebounding at a higher clip.

No doubt about it, he is a really good rebounder. It doesn't matter what the stats says, especially 6 games in. We know exactly why he is not getting a ton of rebounds.

Or maybe it's the lack of defense from that other forward?
