ESPN is never perfect with this, but they are fun to look at each year. As usual, they rate Melo a little low. ESPN loves KP, no doubt about it. 33 might be a little high for him when this was created, but considering how he is scoring the ball right now, it is probably pretty accurate. I was also very surprised how high Rose was. I wasn't sure if he would be in the top 200, let alone #64. The rest of the guys are probably about right. I would actually put Lee a little higher, considering where some other 3 and D SGs are ranked. Overall a pretty fair assessment for the top Knicks though.
I think 33 is a little low for KP... 31 might be a little high for Melo...
135 is ridiculously low for Lee. He should be in the 80s or 90s.
Can't argue too much with some of the others.

also points to one of the core issues of the team: whose team is it/should it be? does melo continue to revert to ball-dominant play that has led all his teams to mediocrity or is it time to cede his putative primacy to kp6?

It will always be a topic of conversation. We are seeing now that as much as Melo can still take over a game, Porzingis is probably the more efficient scorer. I see them as 1A and 1B this year, but next season, the 33 year old Melo will need to take a stop back and let Porzingis really take over. No player should be expected to carry the offensive load at 33 years old, he will need to understand that. He can pick and chose his times, but we need to make that transition without any grey area.

my question is what is preventing him from doing so this season? where's dad melo?!? we can succeed my 38-43 win forecast if we have dad melo and rose continues to work on shot selection ad ball sharing. that sort of team could be a strong second round team.

I don't think Rose is to high because a healthy Rose is still one of the best PG's in the league and you could see how he was playing in the last month or more of last year that he had his speed and strength back.

+1
He even sounds faster and more explosive on the radio broadcasts of games.

Patience, gentlemen. We just may have something nicely scary this season if it comes together soon (before we hit the inevitable health road bumps).
