Knicks · Sad that we still can't win a game without Melo (page 1)

Even though he got Ejected in the 2nd qtr, he was half the offense by himself in the 1st qtr and the Celtics out played us the rest of the way

We look like a lottery team without him (STILL) and were like 0 and 100 when he doesn't play or leaves the game. KP is a not the same player without melo, looks like he loses a little confidence.

I just can understand how this can be, when he got toss I was hoping somebody would step up, hoping to see what kind of support Phil surrounded melo with, and it just seems like the same old story.

Highly unlikely that they would have won that game with him.

I was hoping someone would step up as well. When he was tossed I thought it was a very winnable game.

Yes i was very disappointing with KP and Rose, it was great chance for them to step up,KP again was hiding from ball. KP needs 2-3 years more to take over the franchise. Still a kid.

Last night's game doesn't count IMO. I rarely complain about the refs, but they were trying to hand that game to Boston. KP is starting to get things going, Im confident that he can be the man when Melo is out or hurt. Teammates have to feed the hot hand when Porzingis (or anyone else) is on a run. They started doing that with KP, and its starting to pay dividends.

Truthfully its not like we won much with melo anyway. That didnt decide the outcome. Lack of defense and poor officiating was the issue

I think the point of the thread is the absolute apparent unlikeliness of winning games without Melo. Right now.
And the last time i checked (right now), we won 218 games with 6 years with Melo, and 173 games for 6 years without Melo.

So truthfully, saying we don't win with Melo doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
