Knicks · Maybe a guy to sign from the ACB Spanish league... Anthony Randolph (page 1)
crzymdups@ 11/20/2016 6:40 PM
Imagine a three man big man rotation of KP, Willy, and Anthony Randolph.
This guy always had the skills, just seemed like he lacked maturity. Maybe worth another look? Looks like he is playing with high energy and also has worked on his outside shot (which was already pretty decent).
CrushAlot@ 11/20/2016 7:01 PM
He looks great and is still only 27. Is this a typical game for him? The score makes it look like a blow out/inferior competition.
martin@ 11/20/2016 7:03 PM
My guess is that he is not a very smart basketball player... at all.

I don't know too much about the league - weren't KP and Hernangomez from FC Barcelona?
I have just always thought his game would translate really well if he got it together in his head.
This game of Barca vs Real is the two top teams of the second best league worldwide against each other! These are highly talented and well coached teams so his performance is not to be taken lightly! What is great to see is his hustle and effort... he always seemed to be cruising... he might have matured! :-) Id have a long look at him! btw Willy and KP played in Sevilla!

Guys it's 100% time to get off the Anthony Randolph boat
markvmc@ 11/20/2016 8:24 PM
Who was the other Randolph we had? Remember Isaiah got some kid who was skipping the draft, and said it was like an extra draft pick?

Randolph Morris? That's a totally different situation.

This is probably true. But I'll always be intrigued by him.
WaltLongmire@ 11/20/2016 9:10 PM
Glad to see he's continued to play and is now in a good league... but the Randolph train passed through MSG a long time ago, and I can't see any reason to bring him back for another ride.

He always had the talent but every time he would get on the court in a NBA game the game was just to big for him. He's not worth the trouble for me.

That was six years ago. He was 21. I know I was a lot different at 21 vs 27.

Yeah, I know. Just reminded me of him, that's all. I remember we had some bizarre first name/last name chain of players at the time. Carmelo Anthony/Anthony Randolph/Randolph Morris. Was there a Morris someone too?

Playa were you allowed back on the board?

He is one of my biggest Knick disappointments of all time- I had high hopes he was going to be awesome instead he was beyond trash. Never watch the summer league highlights of him when he was a warrior, it's 100% fools gold!
I'm sure he lost a lot of his hops following a leg injury with the Warriors, just before he was traded here- I remember as Knick he would go up to dunk the ball and end up not getting the lift he was expecting.

He was a guy who had incredible physical talent. A 6-10 guy who was like gumby couldve been a top 5 defensive player great rebounder offense initiater--he had so much potential to be an NBA star type. I do think that injury robbed him a bit but he was also not a smart player which is a big thing. Its possible that he could be a great help to a team now at 27 hes in the right league to get him back.

Randolph Morris is 30 years old and plays with Marbles in China. Regarding the Spanish league, if a player is young and doing really well, its like they are succeeding at Division one ball in the USA. The next step is the NBA as a rookie. At 27 years old is there room to improve to get to the next level?

Weren't DeMarre Carroll and Hassan Whiteside sort of late bloomers?
Not sure about the answer for Anthony Randolph. His problems always seemed mental and maybe he was on bad team situations. Feel like in the right spot he could have value. But a big part of that is mental, and I obviously have no idea about where he's at on that front.

Glad he's in the league the Knicks seem to scout the most. Have to think if he keeps playing well they'll be keeping tabs.
