I usually get sick of him about mid-season, but he has been especially annoying so far. Coupled with Wally coming in and basically being his opposite-actually being positive! Clyde is always so negative i swear he wants this team to fail and revels when we are losing.
Never liked Clyde as an announcer. Way rather have Wally!

Just like most of us are used to the knicks being terrible, so is clyde the last time we even went to the chip 99... just listen to other broadcasters from other teams, then you will realize just how lucky we are to have Clyde. His vocabulary is top notch one of a kind. Other team broadcasters are so boring and put you to sleep. As for history Clyde knows the knicks better then Anyone he still is the king of New York the last man to bring us a chip. Take it in he's at the end of his broadcasting career. He will be hard to replace as the voice Of the knicks.

I have listened to other broadcasters, theres plenty worse, and better. Luckily we have Breen who us the best in the biz. Its funny sometimes i listen to away broadcasters and they are more complimentary about melo and our team than clyde ever is. His little sayings are predictable and played out. Can be funny on occasion i would just prefer maybe alternate with wally.

I will agree Wally brings a great new voice to the team he is being trained to take over ... I wouldn't be surprised if Clyde hangs it up soon .
I like wally but he is too much of a homer. Im not a huge fan of clyde or breen but they are more neutral which i rather have
Guys are now complaining about Clyde? Man..we are doing really well when we can't complain about the players.
I'm the kind of guy that gets angry when we're losing or make a bad play or whatever is going against the Knicks during games and to have to listen to Clyde get excited when the other team makes a good play against us annoys the crap out of me. Clyde is obviously a big name/face in New York and always will be and i love him for what he is for New York and what he was for the New York Knicks in his day but i'd rather not listen to him do games.
I like Clyde, Wally is also good, i think they are in top 10
Omg is this thread real ? Are you a bunch of 20 yo? Clyde is has been and always will be awesome Hes a knick you non loyal goobers

I can only take so many "swooping anh hoopin" "huffin and stuffin" "tantalising mesmerising" i mean occasionally its cool to know if an offense is perculating but hes like a broken record. All thougb i did lol in the BK game i think when ge chimed in "melo has risen from the dead"
Watched Clyde play at MSG when he was one of the best PGs in the league. Still knows the game, he's entertaining as well. Clyde makes me feel like Im back in NYC. After Marv left, Frazier is the last of the old guard. Hope he sticks around.

ive never seen him get excited when the other team makes a play. I dont want homer announcers who just praise the knicks win or lose. Im not a huge clyde fan but he keeps it pretty neutral.

He definitely does. You must notvwatch all the games or you just dont notice. I dont want a full homer either but when everyone else shits on the knicks i wouldnt mind a slight bias

i have watched pretty much every game since the early 90s. True maybe i dont notice everything they say but i never see him blatantly cheer for the other team. There is nothing wrong with praising a opposing good player or play they make. Its funny because if this was another team most call out the bias their announcers have lol
Right here dude.. was actually going to mention something. Last broadcast he asked Mike Breen how the 2nd unit is doing.. really you miss like 2 games and you can't follow how the team is doing. It's your job! Wally gives great insight & enthusiasm which makes the broadcast enjoyable.
Not exactly the biggest Mike Breen fan either.
Miss the days of Marv Albert & John Andraise.
Clyde is like Phil Rizzuto with the Yankees back in the day. He may not be great but he's one of us, he's our's, he's unique, and we'll miss him when he's gone. I bet there were people who couldn't wait for Rizzuto to move on and then we got saddled with John Sterling. Now Rizzuto doesn't seem that bad.

Yeah i mean i dont want a full homer like the clippers i just want to to feel like clyde is going for the knicks and not just waiting for us to fail. Whatever like i said we could do worse and maybe i will appreciate him more once he is gone.

im sorry i still never see him root for us to lose. He is pretty damn honest which im all for. If someone makes a stupid foul he calls it out. Truthfully he praises melo like crazy even when he has off games lol
Clyde is an institution, a true original and a gem. We're lucky to have him.
