Knicks · Game Summery from behind the basket..... (page 1)

Nalod @ 11/27/2016 10:54 AM
From what I saw.......

Im writing this after NOT reading any coverage of the game from beat writers.

Was behind the basket, literally, had the basket stand blocking part of my court vision. Yeah we were close, but.......Not doing that again.

Why knicks lose? First period was a disaster. Kudos for the come back but nobody go hot. Looked like Kemba was fresher from night before.

They guarded KP better last night. They have Kaminsky and Zeller who are young and mobile did a better job than on Friday. But, in the end Melo could not get hot and put the game away. Does it fall on him? When a closer does not close, it does.
It will happen, closers don't close all the time. Get over it.

I also felt that Hornets after three straight losses were a more desperate team. They came out strong. Melo was tired, Rose looked flat. This is a very good Hornet team likely to make the playoffs if they stay healthy. As I said the other day, a split with this team is not a bad thing.

Joacim sitting in long stretches is concerning. His "illness" could be something he is coming back from. Im sure knicks writers will have more to say.

Funny, the key basket for Charlotte again was Kemba going to his right and he again for the second nite scored at the basket against Willy, who this time did not foul him. Kemba is amazingly quick! No shame knicks could not contain him. Nobody can. Kid is very underrated markeing wise.

Knicks in second half were in front of us which I was hoping for a comeback. Few observations:

Crowd for knicks was loud, I'd say about a third was for NY. Good crowd.
Gucci Mane sat nearby. My son recognized him as he came in.
Jordan sat nearby on the Hornet bench and it was funny to see him interact with the ref. Looked like Refs were too nice addressing him. Hmmmm. Don't mess with Michael. He is doing a good job with the experience. New Video scoreboard is first rate and far fewer hokey antics and promotions. If they took down some ads on fixed banners I'd say the areaa would look top notch. Its a great venue.

Lots of very attractive women dressed up for the nite. Lots of Hoe/Slut over doing it, and some very attractive women who just nailed it regardless of the age. some kept going back and forth frequently as if they were on parade to be seen and not into the game. Of course they were!!!

KP in person is TALL!!! As he does on TV, he is far more graceful in action but looks untucked and all over the place with the whistle blows. Good attitude and body language. Same for Rose who is stoic thruout the game. I was surprised he is more muscular in person than what I see on TV.
Sasha got in the game a bit and watching him defend Belinelli one gets an understanding of why he is still in the NBA. Marco learned moving without the ball in SAS and is intensely hard working getting open. He succeeded and is a hell of a bench player!
KOQ is much quicker this year runs the court well.

Knicks had a great window but nobody could get hot or get clutch. Rose lack of arch on his shot is a bit maddening. I seemed surprised when it DOES go in!!! Its fun watching him tuck that ball and put his head down like a fullback and split the defense! If Nalod is the jury I'm still undecided on him as a max, or near max payroll player. The bursts to the baskets are incredible but the rest of his game seems good, but not at that price.

Watching Noah practice foul shots with that strange wrist shot is still baffling to me.
More KP: So smooth is his shot. Its a "Tall order", but when he grows into that body a bit more he might redefine the position. His handle is improving, but his hands instinctively incredible. He was able to recover a few times when the ball was knocked loose from him. In comparison, Amare never had that kind of skill and would result in turn overs.

Overall it was a grand evening out with my son! We had a fantastic early high Zoot dinner in a near by restaurant with a great bottle of wine.

Awesome write up. Thanks for posting it. Glad that you and your son had a good time.
StarksEwing1 @ 11/27/2016 11:23 AM
Good analysis. Glad you guys had a good time. Despite a terrible first quarter it was a good game
GustavBahler @ 11/27/2016 11:58 AM
Thanks for the inside info. Didnt see all the hotties on TV, but the Hornets have some nice cheerleaders. Next time someone gets floor seats, they have to post the VIP menu. Its important.
ActionJackson @ 11/27/2016 12:56 PM
Good stuff Nalod, if only your reverse namesake "Dolan" was as smart and astute about the game as you are maybe we'd have a prayer of another parade down Broadway.
NYKBocker @ 11/27/2016 5:22 PM
Great write up Nalod.
EnySpree @ 11/27/2016 6:10 PM
Good stuff. Glad you were able to enjoy the time with your son.

cool. sounds like a great experience

Funny, comparing KP to Mr-I-dribble-ball-off-my-feet-Stat; first time I've read anything like that.

+1 for the analysis, although citing KP as tall is not exactly the level of insightfulness I was expecting (maybe Nalod be reading too much Berman lately?)

-10 Not one pic of the hos on display? Keeping up appearances with junior, FatherNalod?

Whats up Jrod! How the sarcasm play at thanksgiving table?
"Turkey!!! How predictable"
"Why they have a parade to celebrate over engorged meal to kick off the era of indigenous population genocide?"
"Did Uncle Nalod have also land at Plymouth rock? And he drives a BMW?"

Yes, KP is tall and It was highlighted as its obvious to all, even those with unicorn pajamas and shower curtins! He is lanky and has a pin head which makes him as we say down south "A hot mess"!
Some roids and man strengthening activities will enlarge his noggin proper!

I suppose my synopses of KP vs. Amare handle turnover comparison which you see as "Funny" is actually about as close as we can get a compliment from you.
I'll take it.

No pic's of hoes. We enjoyed the very close personal damm near lap dance a "HoneyBee" gave us before the game started. They run into the isle's for a 4 min butt shake.

Moonangie @ 11/28/2016 11:21 AM
Nice write up, Nalod. There's nothing quite like seeing a Knicks game with your son. One of the funnest things there is to do.

What, Nalod didn't notice the +1? What does Nalod need, a gift card and a great big hug? I didn't even have a sarcastic smilie in that sentence.

And the indigenous population was just as busy partaking in the great gneocide of each other, or don't you read about all that history before the great evil WASPs came and ruined the whole earth?

Jrod's thanksgiving:
"Shit, I've been listening to Christmas music for a month already!"
"The Cowboys??? Again???"
"Damn that Nalod and that stupid way-too-pre-emptive game thread with the wrong game, the wrong team logo and the wrong damn karma!"

By the way, no Nyets threads this season? What up with that?

Yeah, and jrod sees that 4-12 doesn't lead to much in the way of material of any kind, huh?

Sorry,
Wait, Nets play in Brooklyn now?

Nalod don't go see Nets, or can tell you their starting line up. Your right, no story.
Team went full in with Pierce and KG and came up short. Deron was a flat out bust.
Sean Marks must have gotten a nice long term contract to redue that mess.
Thats all to talk about. No regrets, Nets buzz was plenty with move to new arena and an on paper roster coached by Jason Kidd was interesting!!!
Phrokorov trumped dolan's starphuch both on the way up and with no conscience with regards to picks.

Kemet @ 11/28/2016 2:11 PM
Nice write up Nalod .. Rose n Jennings are going to need a hint from Steve Nash on hitting KP with the ball every time KP is one step away from the paint like Nash did to get Amare averaging 24 pts on 55% shooting
