Only 1 really good team in the next 9 games. Some road games but that is the NBA--you need to beat poor teams on the road.
Yep, the real test is coming.
Yeah we should get a few games over 500. Would be nice
Jinx thread! When will this board learn?!?!?

Yep... Every thread should be approved by Troika and violators should be send to Gulag for work correction.
Why not list the games?
Nalod not falling for this expectation stuff. First off we got four games against the Kings and Wolves. Doormat historically but some good talents on both teams. What are the knicks? A .500 team. Thats all. This is the NBA and road games are not given unless the team is a hardened group who understand winning AS A TEAM!
Why am I being less than Rah Rah? Cuz this team is now starting to understand what it can do and the next phase is inconsistency. They can be inconsistently good or inconsistently bad. Teams have to learn to close out games on the road. After Saturday nites 1st quarter performance, I'd say it has to work on coming out with energy!!!
Got five road games out west coming up. Kings at home are 4-5, Lakers are 6-4, Nuggs are 3-5, GSW 6-1 and PHX is 2-5. Its young season and any of these teams can turn it around at any time.
We have 4 of the next 6 are at home. Then 5 road games. we get Cav's and Thunder at home. I say we get one of those. Why? HOME!
Miami away should be a win for us unless KP gets laid in south beach.
While I Share Briggs hopes and ON PAPER we should do well, I prefer as a fan not set expectations until this team is galvanized with its identity. The 5 game western trip is worrisome. Freaking Lakers are a .500 team!!!! Who of thunk???
Looking at the 11 games, because of the 5 game road trip, I'd say coming out of that 6-5 would be pretty darn good. Good teams go .500 on the road and win higher % at home. We have SEVEN ROAD GAMES IN THE NEXT 11!!!!

Yeah I felt like this would be our record or 10-10. Id offer this is almost a must win tonight. Have to beat the Heat which are a hot mess.
Id like to stay with Oquinn at starting C for many games--I feel like he needs the chance to show consistency becuase the place weve been beaten up is in the middle. Our 2 focus or weaker positions seems to be 2 guard and 5. We need more consistent play from both of those positions and for KP to start his game looking to go inside out.
So Briggs, what's wrong with the monster Pacers?
Knickoftime wrote:So Briggs, what's wrong with the monster Pacers?
I've watched several Pacers games. I must say that they can be tough but are a very strange team. They've got some good parts but in a strange way it seems to add up to a nice but not great team. They have some good guards and forwards. Al Jefferson is FAT. It looks like the Pacers are a team that can get HOT and really be a tough team to deal with. They seems to have some chemistry issues at times tho. It's like they don't really know who to run things thru and when. That leads to some bad stretches. I do think they can be dangerous when they are on the same page.

Is it wrong that I read that with a Russian accent?

Nope cuz I did the same lol
Anyway 6-4 for the next 10 games would be dope... 7-3 would be fantastic.

No schedule is light, for a franchise that sucked over 20 years. We can make a bad team look like all stars. You are setting yourself (and others that follow), up to fail.
My goal is to make sure we are competitive on the road......
You beat your team up all year....
Then when they start playing well, you set unrealistic expectations.....
And we wonder why players are under so much pressure in NY.....

Thats more a media phenom that has always existed with many outlets starved for stories. Used to have 4-5 NYC daily papers. Players can insulate themselves a bit if they don't read much online. they know whats up with their team, so they need not read blogs guessing it.
tied for 3rd in the east after the 1st qtr of the season...not a bad look

Knick. Knicks were 6-0 in tight games against bad teams. Now depending on roses back we could be in for a precipitous drop.

The only game I really feel they should have won was Phoenix.
Rose going down does not help any of this.
Frustrating was hoping to see some playoff basketball but its far from a lock. This is what happens when you tie your fates to broken down players. Im so damn tired of losing.
